The source is the beginning, the initiator, the origin of all things. It is the
creation of life, a place where conflict arises or freedom is obtained; it is
the space in which something is found, born, or created. Regardless of our
life’s juncture, we stand at a crossroads, oscillating between returning to the
primal origin and beginning something new. It is from this sacred space that the
symphony of life, love, and pain reverberates. In 2024, we explore SOURCE with
13 exhibitions over 12 venues, seeking the opportunities they signal for an
alternative future.

   KYOTOPHONIE is a new international borderless music festival created in the
   spirit of the KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival.

 * KG+

   KG+ is a publicly recruited art festival started in 2013 with the aim of
   discovering and supporting upcoming talents among photographers and curators.
   In 2023, the eleventh year of this festival, we aim for sending new talent
   from Kyoto to the world. We are going to hold an exhibition by recruiting a
   wide range of motivated artists.

 * DELTA|KYOTOGRAPHIE PERMANENT SPACE

   DELTA is KYOTOGRAPHIE’s permanent exhibition space that opened in Autumn 2020
   in Demachi Masugata Shopping Arcade in Kyoto. DELTA’s name is inspired by the
   iconic landscape of the confluence of the Kamogawa and Takanogawa rivers,
   which is locally referred to as the 'Kamogawa Delta.’ It is a project space
   to propagate new ideas that arise from the convergence of opposites: East and
   West, tradition and innovation, mainstream and underground, local and global.
