   Join Amazon and AWS leaders, enterprise customers, academics, and startups
   who are innovating in their industries. Each day, tracks will kick off with
   30-minute leadership sessions focused on diving deeper into thought
   leadership around a particular domain.

DIVE DEEP WITH EXPERTS AND CUSTOMERS




 * BREAKOUT SESSIONS
   
   Amazon re:MARS breakout sessions are lecture-style and one hour long. These
   sessions cover all topics at all levels (200–400). Sessions are delivered by
   Amazon and AWS experts, customers, and partners, and they typically include
   10–15 minutes at the end for Q&A. In breakout sessions, you will hear best
   practices from Amazon and AWS experts and learn how other companies have
   applied MARS technologies to advance their businesses and deliver better
   solutions for their customers.

EXPERT-LED REAL-WORLD EXPERIENCE




 * WORKSHOPS
   
   Workshops are two-hour hands-on sessions where you work in teams to solve
   problems using Amazon services. Workshops organize attendees into small
   groups and provide scenarios to encourage interaction, giving you the
   opportunity to learn from and teach each other. Each workshop starts with a
   short lecture (10–15 minutes) by the main speaker, and the rest of the time
   is spent working as a group. There are additional Amazon and AWS experts in
   the room to make sure every group has the assistance they need. Come prepared
   with your laptop and a willingness to learn! We will provide any AWS credits
   you may need.

JOIN THE CONVERSATION AT RE:MARS




 * CHALK TALKS
   
   Chalk talks are a highly interactive content format with a small audience.
   Each begins with a short lecture (10–15 minutes) delivered by an Amazon or
   AWS expert, followed by a 45- or 50-minute Q&A session with the audience. The
   goal is to foster a technical discussion around real-world challenges. Chalk
   talks are one hour long and contain expert-level content presented by Amazon
   or AWS experts.
   
   Chalk talks have one main speaker and one or two additional Amazon and AWS
   experts who work through problems and solutions on a whiteboard as the
   discussion unfolds. This session type is new to re:MARS, so be sure and check
   them out and come with questions!
