Yes it's right. They don't tell you of a cancellation fee verbally just in an
email confirming the appointment. Why not be upfront ? Also I was told to make a
will trust before discussing a lifetime trust. We said that all our assets would
go in a lifetime trust so making a will trust would be a waste of money. We were
also advised to proceed with a will even though we were contemplating marriage.
We were informed by a solicitor that the wedding has to have been arranged and
imminent for the will to remain valid. We were also encouraged to complete lpa's
with them at £700 a go when the fee is only £40 and incorrectly told that you
get charged a re submission fee if you get it wrong. The forms are simple and
The solicitor confirmed it's like an MOT where your not recharged if you re
submit within a certain time.
