102 mph fastball by Felix Bautista in the eighth inning Tuesday night. His X-ray
was negative. Jiménez reached based four times Tuesday and is running a
career-high .372 OBP. The team says he is day-to-day.

The Bears got their roster down to 80 players on Tuesday morning. They released
veteran OT Julién Davenport and waived WR Dazz Newsome, FB Jake Bargas, DT
LaCale London and CB BoPete Keyes.

The most notable name is Newsome, last year's sixth-round pick. He flashed a
couple times this summer, but it wasn't nearly consistent enough, as he had one
too many drops.

The next cut is to 53 on Aug. 30.
