TOOLS NEEDED TO MAKE JAPANESE BBQ SAUCE –

 * Whisk
 * Small/Medium sauce pan
 * Blender (or Immersion Blender)
 * Fine mesh strainer (or cheese cloth)


JAPANESE BBQ SAUCE INGREDIENTS –

(Yield: 2 cups | Double-up as needed)

 * 1 cup + 2 tablespoons Non-Gmo Gluten-free Soy Sauce (San-J Tamari)
 * 3/4 cup Mirin (Japanese cooking wine)
 * 2/3 Granulated sugar
 * 4 teaspoons tomato paste
 * 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, grated fine
 * 4 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced fine
 * 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
 * 2 each whole scallions, cut into pieces
 * 1 teaspoon sea salt
 * 2 teaspoons sesame oil


HOW TO MAKE JAPANESE BBQ SAUCE –

 1. Combine 1 cup of Non-GMO soy sauce, 1 cup of cane sugar, and 1 cup of mirin
    in a medium saucepan.
 2. To the saucepan, add 1/2 cup of tomato paste, 1/4 cup of finely chopped
    organic ginger, and 1/4 cup of finely chopped green onion.
 3. Also, add 1/4 cup of organic rice vinegar and 2 cloves of minced organic
    garlic to the saucepan.
 4. Add a pinch of sea salt to taste.
 5. Heat the saucepan over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil,
    stirring occasionally.
 6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for 10-15 minutes, stirring
    occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency.
 7. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 tablespoon of organic toasted
    sesame oil.
 8. Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature before using it as a marinade or
    dipping sauce (store refrigerated)
