RELEASE: IOS 14.3 AND IPADOS 14.3 WITH PRORAW IMAGE FORMAT, APPLE FITNESS+,

On monday Apple officially launched both iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 to the general
public. This is a pretty big update for the iOS and iPadOS, welcoming new
features to the mix for both.

Here’s the official changelog for iOS 14.3:

iOS 14.3 includes support for Apple Fitness+ and AirPods Max. This release also
adds the ability to capture photos in Apple ProRAW on iPhone 12 Pro, introduces
Privacy information on the App Store, and includes other features and bug fixes
for your iPhone.

IOS 14.2.1 HAS BEEN RELEASED TO FIX IPHONE 12 MINI LOCK SCREEN ISSUE, MMS BUG,
AND MORE

Note: this update is delivered only for iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro
and iPhone 12 Pro Max.

With iOS 14.2.1, Apple is aiming to fix some issues for iPhone owners. The
primary fix is for the iPhone 12 mini, with the software meant to fix a bug that
could cause the Lock Screen to become unresponsive.

With this software update installed, this should no longer be an issue for
iPhone 12 mini owners.

In addition, iOS 14.2.1 fixes an issue where some MMS messages may not have been
received. Also, the software update addresses an issue where some Made for
iPhone hearing devices could have sound quality issues when listening to audio
from an iPhone.

The following method of entering the DFU mode has been used by Apple (by using
the same button combination) since the iPhone 8, 8 Plus and X. If you’re coming
from an iPhone 7 or earlier, you’ll find this new button combination to be more
complicated than before.

HERE ARE THE REQUIREMENTS TO ENTER DFU (DEVICE FIRMWARE UPDATE)

 * Windows or Mac computer.
 * Latest version of iTunes installed or if you’re using a Mac, macOS Catalina.
 * Lightning to USB or Lightning to USB-C cable.

Before you begin, you should know that DFU mode erases your iPhone’s data. If
you want your photos, texts, documents, or other data saved, you’ll need to back
it up through iTunes or iCloud first.

NEW EMOJIS IN IOS 14.2 SOFTWARE UPDATE

Apple released iOS 14.2 which adds 13 new Emoji characters that Apple previewed
earlier this year as part of World Emoji Day. New emoji options include fly,
people hugging, ninja, black cat, bubble tea, bison, polar bear, blueberries,
fondue, and more.

This update also features 55 gender and skin-tone variants, along with new
gender-inclusive emojis that can be used as an alternative to gendered versions.

Music Recognition toggle. Yes, that’s right, the new control center toggle will
instantly use Shazam to recognize music around you.

Apple made it faster and easier to use its music recognition app, Shazam, by

Apple released the first betas of iOS 14.3 and iPadOS 14.3 to developers. This
is pre-release software and it’s meant specifically for developers.

That means you should probably avoid putting this on your daily iPhone / iPad,
as the software may not be ready for daily usage and may contain bugs. As this
is the first *developer* beta of iOS 14.3, do not expect a public beta as of
yet.


ADD OR REMOVE APP PAGES FROM IOS 14 SPRINGBOARD

essentially hide pages of their home screen.

Long press your home screen to enter ‘edit mode’, and then tap the dots above

IOS 14.1 IS NO LONGER SIGNED BY APPLE SERVERS

Apple released iOS & iPadOS 14.2 to the general public with new Emojis,
wallpapers, and other improvements. That said, the company has stopped signing
the older iOS & iPadOS 14.1 firmware, just one week after the mentioned release.

The unsigning of a particular version of firmware means that iPhone and iPad
users can no longer officially downgrade to it via Finder or iTunes.
