APPLY FOR A TREE FELLING LICENCE You can apply if you are: * a woodland owner - individual * a woodland owner - organisation * a woodland tenant * an agent Felling licences are valid for 5 years, but you may be able to apply for a licence to cover longer-term felling activities as part of a woodland management plan. ! Warning Felling trees without a licence, where one would have been required, is an offence. You may not need a felling licence if one or more exemptions apply to the woodland. Start here OTHER WAYS TO APPLY If you cannot apply online, you can apply by post. You can request a paper form by sending an email to fellingservice@forestrycommission.gov.uk or by writing to us at: Forestry Commission 620 Bristol Business Park Bristol BS16 1EJ Telephone: 0300 067 4420 We will post the form to you.
