SEALING WAX

Happy sunday!
I've been using sealing wax on my cards and gifts for a year or more now, but
today I decided to try adding some natural elements to the wax.
First up was adding some baby's breath and then a small leaf.
Then I added a feather to one of the seals and I love how it turned out~

My daugther was going to a birthday mystery murder dinner and was taking this
bottle of Pinot Noir that I told her I could level up with adding one of my
seals.
For this one I just added a little sprig of babys' breath to the seal.

SUNSHINE & SMILES: FEBRUARY 2023 PAPER PUMPKIN

The new Stampin' Up! paper pumpkin is here this month and it is so adorable~
Take a look at the video to see how easy it is to put these kits together.   As
I always say,  you get everything you need to put your cards or projects
together, even the stamps and ink.

Here are a few of the cards I made from the kit.  One of the things I like to do
with my kits are donate the cards to the Ronald McDonald house in Seattle.   The
families are always looking for our homemade cards for them to use.  Before
Covid for years I would get to go monthly to do creative nights with the kids
while the Mom's took a break, but since then it hasn't been reinstated due to
obvious reasons.
We certainly had to be very careful not to visit the house back then with a
common cold, now it's evern more important to keep the kids healthly that are
battling cancer.   So, I take a drop off cards for them instead.  Hopefully one
day we will get to go back and create with them.    Here are some of the
cards.....

Three different cute designs

I know I always say it, but if you haven't tried Paper Pumpkin,
give it a whirl! You can sign up for one month or as many as you like,
you can also cancel at anytime.

BUNNIES RETURN~

And the bunnies keep multiplying!
Isn't that what they do?  Hahahhaa~
Well, they are back again on this simple
Easter card made by punching out an oval
shape and glueing the bunny to the oval and layering
it on top of the Abigail Rose designer series paper
available in the annual catalog.

The paper is so pretty it almost looks like linen.

I used an aul to punch the holes in the oval, if you don't have one a push pin
works just fine.

BUNNY TAGS

Happy Monday!
I am back with some more of the little wooden bunnies I purchased at the Dollar
Tree.  You get 12 of these cuties in a bag.
I've been finding fun ways to use them.
Today I am showing you some very quick and easy Easter tags
to add to gifts, easter baskets, bottles of wine, etc.

I cut white cardstock 2 x 4" and used a tag punch to do this.
You do not need a punch tag, you can easily cut these out yourself.

Find any greeting you would like to use, I chose the Happy Easter and Love you
ones.  It can be "for you" or whatever ones you have on hand to use.
Now stamp the greeting, glue down your bunny with hot glue and add any color or
pattern of ribbon
Super easy!!!

LOOKS LIKE SPRING!

Well,  I don't know about where you are, but here,
it is beyond freeeeezing still!
What a better way to kick start the thought of spring but to make a spring
card.

I found these at the Dollar Tree, there
are 12 of these cute wooden bunnies in the bag.
I am just getting started using them to see what else I can make
using them.

I can truly say that is certianly does NOT look like spring here in the PNW.  We
have record lows comin up this week and I believe it will be in the teens in the
evenings.
But, life marches on and so does the thought of spring.
I have used the designers series paper called "Country floral lane"
which can be found in the mini catalog and available until
the end of April.

I used both sides of the paper for the front of the card then cut some white
cardstock and tore the side and stamped the greeting below.
How do you like these adorable wooden bunnies?

STORYBROOK GNOMES

Happy thursday!
I needed a cute kiddo card so I got out the storybrook gnome designer series
paper to make this card.
The designer series paper is so cute and has so many images on each piece the
whimsy is beyond adorable.
I took the one sheet that has forest friends and toadstools and fussy cut them
each out to layer onto the card.

I started with the background paper then
layered it with the toadstool and each little
forest buddy.

Super cute little animals.....
Time to gift this away.

GALENTINE'S DAY

Happy Valentine's Day!!!
It was a fun day celebrating "galentine's" day with a group of amazing gals that
constantly push me in life and pour out so much.
What I didn't know was that they secretly at the end of lunch
surprised me with a birthday suprise!

Everyone brought salads and treats, we made a charcuterie dessert
board but I forgot to take a picutre of it!
But, this was sure fun to try....
Have you seen butter candles?
I had seen a few of these on Instagram and thought how fun would that be!
You make them by melting your butter,
(I used a cube since there were only 7 of us)
and poured it into a plastic drinking cup.  Use one of the following for the
wick;  an edible wick, hemp twine, or regular kitchen twine.
Cut a piece that's long enough for your cup size and using a chop stick or
pencil tie the wick at the top and set it right into the butter.
I also added fresh little sprigs of rosemary to the butter.
Now move to the frig and let set.
When it's solid run under warm water for 10 secs and it will slide out.
Put it on a plate and garnish the plate, light the candle and dip your bread and
enjoy!

Isn't that something!
It was a hit!

I showed you these macaron's a few days ago that I found at Costco,
I put each in the plastci dome and had them on plates at the table.

Here's my tablescape, neutral with pops of pink...
I try and always use what I have on hand.
You probably recognize the pink yarn hearts in the center and
the dried sprigs from my yard.
I used my gauze runner in white for the center and scattered
conversation candy hearts in the center.

Do you remember these candle holders I show you how to make a few weeks ago?
They are back too.  Look around and see what you have that you can put on your
tables instead of thinking you have to go buy new things to make it festive.
Have a wonderful Valentine's day!
Eat some chocolate, watch a fun ron-com or spend time with loved ones, whatever
you do spread a little love around today!

NEW IN THE SHOP

Happy sunday,
I've been putting together a few new ideas for the shop.
These two new medium sized tassle garland are now available.
You can choose between the cute gnome bunny or the wooden bunny.

These tassle garlands are wide enough to fit around a vase or
even a candle.  You can also drape or scatter them on books, your coffee table
or shelves.

The wooden bunny

How about this little bunny gnome.
Both can be found in the shop
