ASUS MOTHERBOARD CONTROL FANS

Is there a software solution? Or is the motherboard dying? Any advice would be
appreciated. I've seen any number of forum posts about similar problems, but no
solutions. They're PWM fans, and correctly set that way in the BIOS.ĪSUS tech
support says I should send them the motherboard for servicing, but that's a last
resort. The motherboard is an ASUS ROG Strix Z390-E Gaming board, the fans it
doesn't like are the ones that came with the Fractal Design Define R6 case
(Dynamic X2 GP-14 fans). You cant as per 1-41of the manual: 'The CPUFAN
connector and CHA-FAN connectors support the ASUS FAN Xpert 2 feature.' Since
CPU and Chassis fans have been explicitly mentioned i take that to mean optional
fans are not supported. Both BIOS and Fan Xpert recognize and control the CPU
fan with no problems.

With AI Suite 3 uninstalled, the fans work as they should, but if I reinstall it
they run at 100% all the time. In the BIOS settings, the QFan Control recognizes
all the fans and sets their speeds correctly. I've updated all the drivers and
the BIOS, and still have this problem. It doesn't seem to believe they exist
(they're just a blank when I select them in the program), and runs them at 100%
speed at all times.

ASUS Fan Xpert 4 (part of their AI Suite 3) has stopped correctly recognizing
the chassis fans. A computer I built has developed an odd problem with its
chassis fans, which I'm hoping is a software issue rather than hardware.

Oddly enough after I reapplied the license to my account from the laptop the
download link was available and no longer available from PC, so Microsoft is
somehow aware of which computer I am using to apply licenses? Why should that
even matter? And why didn't the tech support guy know that?Īnyhow I was able to
download it and install it as a client on my laptop and I got the presentation
of Visio finished. the really odd thing is I had this idea to unapply the
license to my account from the PC and then reapply it from my laptop to see if
that did anything. I had no idea it would be that impossible to get it going.
Keep in mind I needed visio for a chart I needed done that day. So I called
Microsoft tech support and spoke to a thick accented tech support guy who was
unable to assist me.

The link was there on my PC but not on my laptop. I logged into admin portal and
went to where the download option was on my desktop PC and the download option
was simply not there on my laptop. So I went to install it on my brand new
laptop. I had an option to download it as a client option, for some reason
though my computer was getting some. I went in as admin and saw it was applied
to the account. Visio 365 Pro was not in my portal when I logged into 365 and I
had just purchased it. but I had a similar issue and I fixed it a really odd
way. The data and the licenses will be automatically transferred on it." The
reason why we did that is because the current plan that you have was activated
using a product key and that will be the plan that will be deleted and since we
have purchase a credit card subscription using your card. By that I have
suggested to purchase a Small business premium using your credit card to avoid
service interruption. We then have decided to upgrade your whole account for us
to be able use the same information. As I have explained over the phone, the
plan that you would like to have will only be available on an Enterprise
platform. "As per our previous communication, I have informed you that the
reason why you were not able to add Visio on your current account is because of
licensing compatibility.

Here is the email from my support rep further explaining the issue: Let this
post serve as a warning for people purchasing O365 keycards from Amazon or
another 3rd party.

I wish I had known that when I purchased the keycard from Amazon.
