MASTERS OF THE AIR

Streaming now on Apple TV+, the nine-episode mini-series Masters of the Air
focuses on the real-life experiences of the 100th Bomb Group to tell the story
of the Eighth Air Force during World War II. It brings into vivid focus the
experiences of the Bloody Hundredth, from the hard stands at Thorpe Abbotts to
flak-filled aerial battles and the harsh realities of POW life at Stalag Luft
III. 100th BG historical staff provided archival research and technical
consultation on a daily basis to help support the producers’ commitment to
authenticity.

COURAGE IN THE SKIES: JOIN US TO BUILD A NEW MUSEUM EXPERIENCE

With Masters of the Air generating intense interest in the 100th Bomb Group and
its place in Eighth Air Force history, you can help the 100th Bomb Group
Foundation expand its presence at the National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air
Force. As the museum undergoes major renovations, we have launched a separate,
multi-million-dollar campaign to deliver an immersive experience for

FRANK MURPHY INTERVIEW

100th Bomb Group veteran Frank D. Murphy, a Navigator in the original cadre of
the 418th Squadron. He authored Luck of the Draw as a memoir for for his family
about his time in WWII. Frank was shot down, captured, and held as a prisoner of
war for 18 months His story is featured in the upcoming Masters of the Air
series, and the newly republished edition of his book, Luck of the Draw.
