   try to refreash Goodtask MacOS, no tasks are synced.
   
   If I create a task in GoodTask MacOS, it doesn't show up in either
   Fantastical or Goodtask iOS. If I create a task in GoodTask iOS it shows up
   in Fantastical, but not in Goodtask MacOS. If I create a task in Fantastical
   it shows up in Goodtask in iOS, but not in Goodtask MacOS. I just did a test
   using Fantastical on MacOS and GoodTask on iOS and MacOS. I just want to add
   that I am also having trouble syncing tasks to GoodTask in MacOS.

Let’s see how Angry Birds has evolved casual games and gamers towards midcore
features - with Angry Birds 2, having multiple progression paths, daily quests,
Arena and gacha. The game was simply perfect for the iPhone screen. The game was
also boosted by the rise of iPhone and App Store. Rovio rose to fame with launch
of its iconic smash hit Angry Birds title in December 2009, the game with its
simple mechanics and ease of use on mobile enchanted masses of casual players
and opened the world of games to many first time gamers, across the globe. Rovio
Entertainment has seen unprecedented growth this year by experimenting and
evolving it’s holster of casual games. Let’s look at how some top developers
have successfully identified this gap and are experimenting to engage this
audience. In short these veteran casual players may find the climb of casual
games too shallow, but midcore too steep!īut this gap between casual and mid
core genres can also be a window of opportunity. This mass of matured veteran
casual players may want to make a transition to more intricate gameplay but may
be wary of high entry barriers, grinding, wait timers, base building, troop
training, managing economies, social pressure of clans and the cognitive load of
making strategies that conventional midcore games need (See midcore loops
above).

How to design for maturing casual players

 * Introduction of ever deeper designs by game developersĪs speculated, in
   between traditional genres now seemingly exists a massive pool of matured
   veteran casual player base.
 * Wearing off of the novelty value due to a flood of clones.
 * Longevity and familiarity of playing the same genre and mechanics
   repetitiously.
 * I believe that casual gamers may be maturing due to: While we still play the
   same ‘old’ match-three, infinite runners and hidden object games, these games
   offer more deeper experience than their earlier versions did six years ago.
   In an article published in early 2016 I speculated how masses of casual games
   players have come a long way since the early days of mobile games.Īs time has
   passed, casual games have been improved with new content and features. Why
   casual games and gamers might be maturing? In contrast to more ‘core’ games,
   casual games also require players to do very less cognitive load management.
   In general, the session lengths in casual games are around three minutes.
   These characteristics sets casual games apart from competitive resource
   management-oriented games like Clash of Clans, Clash Royale and Game of
   War.įrom a game design and cognitive load perspective, casual games have a
   straightforward core gameplay loop and simple currency sinks. In short,
   casual games are generally targeted at people who may not traditionally
   consider themselves as gamers.Ĭasual games like Angry Birds, Candy Crush Saga
   and Temple Run are typically distinguished by simple rules, reduced demand on
   time and limited need of skills demanded from the players. Today, when we
   talk about casual games, we tend to mean games with relatively simple
   gameplay, substantial active user base and somewhat limited monetisation
   potential compared to more advanced games. The third and largely ongoing
   growth started in 2012, when King took its popular Facebook game Candy Crush
   Saga to mobile. The true growth of the genre was enabled by Facebook and
   driven by Zynga’s FarmVille and other Ville-style games. 1) Casual

   PopCap when Bejeweled launched on browsers in 2001.

SIMS 4 CHALLENGES WITH FRIENDS

I've been playing this challenge myself and it's really broadened my game play
experience. I don't bother with points and the challenge can end whenever you
want it to end. That's the only social you WILL NOT have to satisfy since it's
not always necessary or even desired to hire every single person that the sim
knows. With OFB, there's this thing about home business owners flooding their
want panel with hiring their friends. Or use the free time's secondary
aspiration option if you don't do that already. To make things easier, you can
change all the seasons to spring only.

So for those who do not use that mod, there is a way around it using only wants.
When it comes to romantic interactions, unless you have ACR, that's one of those
things that sims won't normally do on their own unless they're in a committed
relationship and even then it doesn't happen often. You can satisfy that want
and choose which one to move in yourself. If you have Apartment Life, I know
they will roll the want to bring someone in as a roommate. I added in the
move-in interaction free of wants and autonomy since I know that there are those
who would like to control which sim does the marriage proposal since it will
involve which sim gets the last name. Or you can just move them in through
marriage only. The only rule is to only do so when there's an engagement between
them, since I've never in my playing experience had a sim roll a want to add a
sim to the household. It makes no difference if the sim meets a townie or
playable and are allowed to marry and move in either. Take it from someone who's
played plenty of them. Romance sims roll marriage and baby fears more often if
they've had fewer lovers. Three, it must be during the spring, and four: they
need four or five woohoo memories with other sims. Two, they have to have three
bolts of chemistry with their date. This can only take place under four
conditions: One, they have to be on a dream date. It's possible to get a romance
sim to roll marriage wants. With romance sims, there is a slight exception to
this rule.

When it comes to things that do not happen by themselves, like asking another
sim out, inviting a sim over, engagement or marriage, those social interactions
may be directed on the grounds that there are specified wants for them. If you
have nightlife, dates interactions are perfectly acceptable to perform on the
condition that they are sim-specific wants. If a sim is invited over, you cannot
direct your sim to interact with their guest, though you may do such
interactions as "ask to join" or "call to meal," but nothing else. If not that
moment, then later, so all party wants must be locked. If your sim rolls a want
for a party, it must always be satisfied. If townie calls your sim for a group
outing, always accept. General wants for social do not count.Īt no time are
social invites rejected. Same goes for "call sim's name for a chat" and "talk to
(name of sim). No invites if there's a general want for inviting a sim over.
Once sims are home, they are not directed to perform any socials, including
inviting a sim over UNLESS they roll a want for it but only if the want is for a
specific sim. Eventually, their needs will kick them out of their actions at
which you may then direct them to take care of their needs. Even if your sim is
about to burst a bladder yet insists on playing kicky bag forever with another
sim. At no time are you to direct or cancel social interactions with other sims,
no matter the situation. The only interactions you may direct are the check sim
out flirt or scope room to set their chemistry and gender preferences. You may
send them out to community lots anytime you wish, but at NO TIME do you direct
any interactions with other sims. You can move them into any house you like and
use money cheats as money is not important to the challenge.

An outgoing personality will also be helpful. Create any sort of sim with
personality and aspiration of your choosing, though it might be helpful to
choose any aspiration that goes well with socializing, like Popularity, pleasure
or romance. But even if it's HELPFUL it's not imperative to the challenge. This
is a mini-challenge that can be played on its own or in conjunction with other
challenges if you prefer, but the object of the challenge is to see what choices
your sims make and what their true personalities are.Ĭertain mods like ACR come
very much in handy for this challenge, as ACR can make it quite possible for
sims to fall in love entirely on their own.
