Between them, they allege that NAP3 is so deficient that it breaches their human rights to life (Article 2), home (Article 8) and possessions (A1P1), and that they’re discriminated against on account of their vulnerable situations (Article 14). The case was filed on 17 October 2023 and is believed to be the first of its kind in the UK. The court has confirmed that the trial will be heard over 2 days on 23 - 24 July 2024. Click Here to Read More WE HAD A CELEBRITY VISITOR IN HEMSBY TODAY As part of his tour of Britain highlighting all the areas where the level of water pollution is unacceptably high, campaigner for cleaner waters, Feargal Sharkey took time away from his planned itinerary to visit Hemsby with Labour's candidate for Great Yarmouth MP, Kier Cozens, to see for himself the damaging effects of climate change on our coastline. The aim is to raise public awareness of the coastal erosion plight facing Hemsby and to raise funds to help protect our dunes, coastline and livelihoods! The village of Hemsby in Norfolk is a victim of coastal erosion after high tides swept away more homes. More than eight feet of the beach has disappeared from Hemsby near Great Yarmouth in recent months and the fear that more could go - is happening. SUPPORT US Help build our funds to fight on! Hemsby contributes £88M to Norfolk’s economy each year from its tourism-based infrastructure. But we are at a tipping point.
