strategic move to grow the relationship with our trade finance partners. Our
group has set up offices in the most important financial and business centers
like Singapore, Dubai, London, Geneva, etc. and is represented by top managers
in each office with the core decision making out of London where our CMD is
based.

ROBUST RISK MANAGEMENT

We have a Risk Management practices implemented at each stage of the trade life
cycle. we also have focuses vehemently on covering the price risk, counterparty
and operational risk, sanction country risk, liquidity risk to name a few. The
result of these practices are no disputes or defaults ever in the history of
SMCL.

CENTRALIZED OPERATIONS

We believe in centralized yet coordinated and inclusive operations which helps
us understand the key growth areas, key issues and its resolution much faster

Since 2008. It is Mr. Rakesh Sethi who has been instrumental in the company’s
growth in China. The group has developed from scratch to now close to USD 2bn
turnover over 14 years’ journey.

The list of our Iron Ore customers is well diversified. We have end consumers
like the steel mills, Which include SOE Banking partners the international
traders like Glencore, Cargill, Trafigura, etc.

Our suppliers include big miners like Rio Tinto, Vale, BHP CSN, and miners at
Mauritania, Chile etc.
