The following initiative showcases the working papers of Columbia's faculty in the Social Sciences departments. The papers have not been peer reviewed. To add your voice to the discussion, please submit your paper to iserp-communication@columbia.edu, or upload it here. Thank you to the faculty who have submitted a working paper for our first bulletin, we are hoping this initiative will tighten the ties of our research community. ISERP supports a number of research communities at Columbia that explore specific and important topics. Our centers include laboratories, new initiatives, and a common space for cross-disciplinary collaboration. The center activity includes, but is not limited to; graduate student and faculty research projects, creating and maintaining research tools for the Columbia social scientists, and organizing seminars and lectures. Many centers also connect social science work at Columbia with other departments and institutes across the breadth of the university. Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences (QMSS) is an innovative, flexible, interdisciplinary social science Master of Arts degree program at Columbia University that focuses on quantitative research techniques and strategies. The program integrates the perspectives and research methods of six social science disciplines: Economics, History, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, and Statistics.
