Archpriest Peter Heers, the host of The Orthodox Ethos podcast, is joined by Fr.
Patrick John Ramsey to discuss the relationship between the Mystery of Baptism
and the Mystery of the Church. -- Fr. Patrick is a priest-monk from New Zealand,
who has lived in the UK since 2007. He was ordained a deacon in Greece in 2009
and a presbyter in New Zealand in 2010 before coming to the UK to complete a PhD
in Orthodox Ecclesiology. He earned a PhD from Winchester University in Orthodox
Theology in the field of ecclesiology. Previously, he graduated with a MTh in
Orthodox Theology from the University of Wales, Trinity St David. Fr. Patrick is
the author of two important books: The Church: Deifying Relations, and The Minor
Clergy of the Orthodox Church: Their Role and Life According to the Canons. Fr.
Patrick was trained as a deacon and then as a priest in a monastery on Mt Athos
and has had experience serving in the Ecumenical Patriarchate and the Russian
Orthodox Church Outside Russia before transferring to Antioch. He is presently
an online tutor for the Institute for Orthodox Christian Studies in Cambridge
and lives in Suffolk near Sudbury.
