It is a great game for kids to use their critical thinking skills and creative problem solving. The kids love the characters and challenges the game has to offer. They could spend hours playing it and they don't even know they are learning. Easy enough for my Kinders and challenging enough for my older kiddos. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- daart Third Party Review Reviewed: 2022-05-05 This is a good coding app that is easy to get into, particularly the Puzzles mode, which is a good intro to block-based coding. I love how the game teaches problem-solving and alternate ways to meet a goal, quite similarly to actual coding. Then, once they get to the Create mode, it's where kids can use what they learned, where they can create their own game and/or a story where they can use their own voice for characters and move them around using code. I also like how some of the app also teaches complex things like variables and using "less than" and "greater than"--also a very common thing you use in code. CodeSpark is an excellent program to help younger children learn to code (ages 5-8). Sequencing skills learned in codeSpark Academy can enhance early literacy and mathematics. It's a great way to teach younger students how to code and fun while they learn.
