MUSEUM HOURS: 2 1/2 TIMED SESSIONS

Tuesday – Saturday 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM ; 12:15 PM – 2:45 PM ; 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM

Sunday 1:00 PM – 3:30 PM ; 3:45 PM – 6:15 PM

 

ADMISSION PRICES

Infants 12 months and under – Free; Adults and Children (Ages 1+) – $7.00 

 

PARKING AND DIRECTIONS

The Children’s Museum of Acadiana is located at 201 E. Congress St. Lafayette,
La 70501. Parking at the CMA is complimentary. The entrance to our parking lot
is located on Taylor St. 




MORNINGS AT THE MUSEUM 



The Children’s Museum of Acadiana is hosting monthly sensory-friendly mornings.
These offerings are exclusive to families of children with ASD (Autism spectrum
disorder) or sensory processing disorders. We limit the number of families who
can attend, turn down sounds and lights, and provide adaptive equipment such as
noise-reducing headphones and weighted vests. Best of all, admission is
completely free for participating families thanks to The Stuller Family
Foundation.

S.T.E.A.M. KIDS SUNDAYS



Learning can be fun! S.T.E.A.M Kids Sundays are filled with education enrichment
activities offered on the last Sunday of each month between 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm to
CMA guests. CMA educators have identified many interactive STEM activities that
expose kids to a wide variety of STEM education concepts and augment knowledge
they learn in school.

Located in the Museum’s Courtyard, Harmony Park features a commercial-grade play
structure offering families an outside “hands-on” experience that inspires
physical activity, interactivity and creative play. Open at no cost during
normal operating hours and after hours for special events. cmalaf/calendar.




Learn More about the Kiwanis of Acadiana

 

Very nice set up for children to play with real-life experiences. Vet,
ambulance, dentist, fun bubbles, groceries, and more. The experience is a timed
entrance and that allows more space for the children without being rushed. –

It’s always a fun time at the Children’s Museum. The exhibits are always
changing and there are so many things to explore. We attended a birthday party
where the staff members helped the children make slime. It was so fun! Along
with the wide variety of entertainment indoors, there is a wonderful outdoor
play area. The museum is located in a beautiful section of downtown lafayette.

My kids LOVE the museum. They have been a lot and still light up when I tell
them we’re going. My 3 year old’s favorite thing is the mock Super One. My 10

POWER OF PLAY!

Summer is almost over but there’s still time for PLAY! Research shows play can
improve children’s abilities to plan, organize, get along with others, and
regulate emotions. In addition, play helps with language, math, social skills,
and even helps children cope with stress. When you visit the CMA you play with
purpose in a child-centered environment, which offers 15,000 square feet of
unique opportunities to freely and joyfully explore, engage and connect with the
world in which we live.

THANK YOU HEYMANN FOUNDATION!

In 2020, The Heymann Foundation came through for the CMA again with a
significant financial gift to cover the Museum’s final mortgage payment. This
incredibly generous gift enabled the Museum to reallocate precious funds to
exhibit and program expenses. The CMA is profoundly grateful to the Foundation
for its part in ensuring the Museum is open for the next generation of Museum
appreciators.
