Faucher officially began his tenure as the U.S. Ambassador to the Republic of Suriname after presenting his Letter of Credence to His Excellency President Chandrikapersad Santokhi. U.S. MILITARY SURGEONS BEGIN TWO-WEEK MEDICAL MISSION IN SURINAME Between the 1st and 15th of February, 2023, the United States’ Lesser Antilles Medical Assistance Team (LAMAT) will perform surgeries and exchange knowledge in Suriname as part of the U.S. Southern Command’s (USSOUTHCOM’s) Enduring Promise mission. Priyadarshi Sen attended the 2022 AWE graduation ceremony and was impressed by the wonderful work of the participants.
