BLONDE FRANK OCEAN ALBUM COVER HIGH QUALITY

I wasn't a big OF fan but decided to check Ocean out and that easily became my
most played project that year. I was a junior or senior when Nostalgia ultra
dropped. (Also futura free doesn’t get enough love) I’m sorry you’re going
through that man and remember to keep your head up. It seems like these albums
were such important parts of our formative years, it’s hard to not associate the
music to those times.

That relationship ended not working out too great either. That warm feeling
washing over me, with her stuck on my mind. Now hearing Nikes I think of being
in my car driving across the bridge with the sunrise coming up. I decided to
throw it on during an early morning drive back home after staying the night with
her. I started seeing this girl who I was crazy in love with. I was in college
and had just gone through a long much needed break up. I think I was worried my
expectations were too high and I didn’t want to be let down. I didn’t listen to
Blonde until almost a year after it came out. Good times and bad, Frank and Cudi
was always the soundtrack through it all. Nostalgia, Ultra and later Channel
Orange became such huge parts of my high school years. It was like 9th grade and
I was obsessed with odd future. I had to sync that shit through iTunes to get it
on my iPod touch. I still remember downloading Nostalgia, Ultra and the Lonny
Breaux Collection off of Datpiff. I think we all have some similar experiences
when it comes to listening to Frank. It has the reputation it has for a reason.
Nikes, Ivy, Pink + White, Solo, Self Control, Nights, and Futura Free are my
other favorite songs but honestly 9 times out of 10 I end up listening to the
whole thing when I throw on one song.īeautifully produced and written, and
Frank's singing is mesmerizing. White Ferrari is my personal favorite song off
the record, and is honestly one of my favorite songs of all time. This went from
just being an album I thought sounded beautiful, to being one of the most
important albums to me, as I'm sure it is to many others. Some of what Frank
sings about on here can be cryptic at times, and is obviously personal to him,
but his heartbreak is felt throughout the record and in the months since feeling
heartbreak for my first time, this is one of those albums that takes on new
life. But now after 5 years since release, and that relationship of 9 years
coming to an end, my appreciation for the album is on another level and has
reshaped my experience with it. When Blonde finally came out, I loved it. It was
the only relationship I'd been in but I was happy. Probably some of the best
years of my life. We were living together, going to the same school, life was
honestly pretty good. Around the time Channel Orange came out actually. By then,
I was approximately 4 years into a relationship with a girl I'd started dating
close to the end of high school. It's the type of music where I can throw on a
song from either and remember vividly the feelings I felt listening to it, and
where I was and what I was doing. I downloaded and listened to The Lonny Breaux
Collection (I think that's what it was called) along with Nostalgia, Ultra and I
was hooked. At the time, Channel Orange wasn't even out. I was big into Odd
Future and kept hearing good things about Frank. I first got into Frank back
when I was in high school. Weird, didn't even register with me that the albums
5th anniversary was coming up and I've had this on repeat a lot recently.
