My military service, which culminated in participating in the invasion of Panama
in 1989, helped shape who I am as a person and as an attorney. Serving in the
U.S. Army also gave me firsthand knowledge of the personal sacrifices and
struggles of military life. Those insights and experiences helped me become a
better legal advocate when assisting servicemembers over the past 20-plus years.
