This place is just as beautiful as it looks in pictures! We had an amazing time throwing axes AND our guide TOMMY went ABOVE and beyond! He was very knowledgeable and entertaining. We appreciated how much fun it was and how welcoming our experience was. We will definitely come back and bring friends. BEST BIRTHDAY IN MY 27 YEARS

Great little place. It was nice to feel like we were secluded, but knowing we had Knoxville in a very short drive.

Before I get into my experience I would like to address those reviews that mentioned...

"I wanted a romantic getaway and did not expect to eat with others." or "I was expecting..."

The website explains what to expect so I surmise those leaving this kind of feedback did not educate themselves from the website. So please read their website, they explain what to expect.

My wife and I and two adult sons went for a day visit. My wife and I did not do ax or archery so we paid $25 and we paid the extra for my sons to toss the ax.
We got there a bit early however they allowed us entry, so we got there about 9:30 and stayed until about 4:30. The village IS a Themed Park, however most misunderstand what that means. A park can be as simple are a grassy area, and some stick to a theme. Although the website mentions magic and gremlins and other such, those things are limited to names. If you go to a ride park and ride Magic Mountain or Screamen Daemon, or Sea Dragon there is no difference.

Now my personal experience. I was really taken back. I never could have expected what we got. We are told to put ourself into the New World. Just see ourself, and others too in a World that is new. That was so easy. Yes I knew I was still in this system, but I was so easy transported to the New World. The waterfalls, and you are in the middle of a botanical garden, flowers and herbs everywhere, the smell was beautiful and the view was not of this system. The Village is where time is forgotten, I hardly looked at my clock. I fell asleep under a tree.
If your expecting vendors and shops and running around in heavy crowds this is not for you. If you want down time, relaxing and peace and escape this is the place to go. We will go back and I have told so many of my friends I know some are going.

I could go on. But I have just a few suggestions.
1) Offer a option for day visitors to but food and drink. Maybe not precooked, but something light for picnic's or eating under a shade tree. Just offer drinks and light food to keep the day visitors there.
2) When I was growing up our town had a natural private lake. The owners bult a beach and allowed the public access. If there was either a manmade pool similar to the existing waterfall or a dug lake at the bottom with a beach that would be paradise.

This was a 5 star day visit and one day we may stay the night. Thank you for such a perfect vacation.
