After months of chronicling and silently observing the diverse digital transformation journeys and the rising role of data, we decided to set a benchmark for the region. This is what has spurred the desire for these Awards. The vendor categories seek to determine the top names that are seen as leaders by our readers across critical themes. These include data science, digital/data orchestration, customer experience, data privacy, digital infrastructure, cloud platforms, collaboration, artificial intelligence and innovation. The user categories look at leading use cases and individuals driving the digital vision and landscape in the Asia Pacific region. As an inaugural competition, we are looking to recognize leading solutions for digital enablement and the role of data. We feel that the market is ready for one where our CDOTrends readers — all 45,000+ of them — who are involved in driving digital, data and business transformation projects -- are able to add their opinions. It will also set the tone for the years to come, as digital enablement, data strategies and transformation become the new business normal ABOUT THE COMPETITION The competition is made up of two parts: vendors and users. 13 of the awards are for vendors, with 12 of them having specific themes, and are open for nomination. These 12 awards cover vital aspects of digital enablement (transformation). These aspects were determined through research from trends and observations from various analyst reports, including but not limited to Forrester, Gartner, and IDC. By no means are they meant to be exhaustive, and will be amended and expanded as required in the future. The last category is a closed category that will highlight key vendors who have done well in voting from the other categories. In the user categories, we are looking to award leading projects and individuals in digital transformation. These awards are open for nomination and self-nomination (except for chief digital officer/chief data officer of the Year). The winner will be determined by an esteemed panel of judges, who will examine each proposal. 2 Category Types 13 Awards WHO CAN PARTICIPATE For the 12 open vendor categories, we accept nomination and self-nomination from anyone from our reader community. The final nomination list will be determined by our editors and our panel of judges. For the 2 individual user category, we accept peer nomination.
