On the Overview tab, the data sources for cases and deaths were changed to aggregate open data published by the Maryland Department of Health (MDH) based on its COVID-19 dashboard. A hospitalization panel was added to the Overview tab in place of the positivity panel (positivity is still available in the Testing tab). (The hospitalization panel data are also available on the Hospitals tab.) On the Overview tab, data from the CDC were imported for the percent vaccination estimate and for the CDC COVID Community Level metrics. CDC COVID Transmission Level was removed from the Overview tab because it is no longer being used by the CDC to guide public health interventions. On the Key Metrics tab, the data sources for new cases, deaths, test positivity, and percent vaccinated were updated to match the sources on the Overview tab. On the Testing tab, the data sources for percent positivity and test volume were changed to aggregate open data published data by MDH based on its COVID dashboard. The Baltimore City Health Department is working to validate a new COVID-19 vaccination data stream from MDH for the purposes of updating the Baltimore City COVID-19 vaccination dashboard and coverage map as soon as possible. If an individual 18 years and old is unable to receive an mRNA vaccine due to allergic reaction, anaphylaxis, or other contraindication a Johnson & Johnson booster dose may be given.
