In line with its growth and strengthening strategy in the region, Avianca Cargo
will offer greater capacity to meet the needs of its customers and be its main
ally in air cargo.
The airline announces the arrival of from 2 to 4 A330 aircraft, as part of its
expansion plan to 2024. By the end of this year, it will start an incremental
capacity plan.
The arrival of the A330 aircraft positions this cargo fleet as one of the most
efficient based in the region and will allow for an increasingly sustainable
operation by reducing the carbon footprint.
As a fundamental part of its growth and strengthening plan, Avianca Cargo
announces the arrival of 2 to 4 A330 aircraft, which will allow it to expand its
capacity by up to 70% between 2022 and 2024.

With the arrival of the A330 P2F aircraft (passenger aircraft converted into
cargo aircraft), which will gradually be incorporated into the company’s cargo
fleet, Avianca Cargo will increase its role in the region by increasing capacity
in the export markets of Colombia and Ecuador , and in the import markets to
South America from the United States. These actions are part of the airline’s
strategic plan, through which with new projects and routes that are under
continuous analysis together with customers, it bets on continuing to strengthen
direct connectivity between North America and Latin America.

“We are very pleased to announce the arrival of these aircraft to our cargo
fleet, with which we are going to offer not only greater capacity, but also an
increasingly robust and flexible route network focused on the needs of our
customers, facilitating trade between Latin America and the whole world. We
reaffirm our commitment to continue promoting the economies of the region,
serving as strategic allies of our clients and the industries,” said Gabriel
Oliva, CEO of Avianca Cargo.

With the incorporation of these A330 aircraft, Avianca Cargo has established
itself as one of the airlines with the most efficient cargo fleet based in the
region, with an increasingly sustainable operation. A clear commitment of the
company to contribute to the environment through the reduction of carbon
footprint.

“We are proud that Avianca Cargo has selected the A330-300P2F. This new
generation freighter will provide Avianca Cargo with a highly efficient and
flexible operation based on the proven and technologically advanced A330 Family
and will be the right complement to the existing A330-200F fleet, benefiting
Avianca Cargo from the advantages of the commonality of the Family. A330”, said
Arturo Barreira, president of Airbus Latin America.

In this way, Avianca Cargo continues to bet on strengthening its cargo business,
which will have new frequencies, more capacity and greater direct connectivity
for the market and its customers in the Americas.
