OUTSTANDING VIEWS OF CARROCK FELLS AND BLENCATHRA. 

Caldbeck, Hesket Newmarket and Greystoke villages are a mere 5 miles away, with
pubs providing food in both villages. Enjoy a locally brewed beer in The Crown
in Hesket Newmarket, or a dip in the outdoor swimming pool in Greystoke, which
is open from May until September. The market town of Keswick is 15 miles away
and offers restaurants, shops, a museum, miniature golf and an indoor climbing
wall. Nearby Lowther Castle offers a wonderful day out, with castle ruins,
gardens and woodlands to explore. With Penrith town centre a 9 mile drive away,
access to pubs, restaurants and shops is within easy reach of How Hill Farm.
Ullswater and Bassenthwaite Lakes are also easily accessible and offer a variety
of watersports for all to enjoy. For those wishing to hike, Skiddaw, Blencathra
and Helvellyn are also on the doorstep of How Hill Farm. Pooley Bridge is a very
popular location just 8 miles away

The charming village of Greystoke has a number of 17th Century cottages and is
conveniently situated just 5 miles from Penrith. Set just on the outskirts of
the Lake District National Park, only 5 miles from Ullswater and the numerous
picturesque walks available make this a fabulous location for fans of the
outdoors. Nearby, the popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the north
of the Lake District and has plenty to offer, boasting numerous shops and
restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering the Theatre on the Lake, a
charming cinema, museum, indoor climbing wall and miniature golf. The area also
steeped in history with a 10th century church in the village, lovely castle in
Penrith and the stunning remains of Lowther Castle.

Greystoke provides easy access to the spectacular Cumbrian countryside which can
be explored by both car and on foot, and the southern Lakes, Eden Valley,
Pennines Solway Coast and Hadrian's Wall all within close proximity, making this
a great location with plenty to see and do.
