2005 — WHO’S WHO IN AMERICA’S DIAMOND YEAR

The Diamond 60th Anniversary edition of Who’s Who in America is published in
October 2005. The directory contains not only more than 100,000 biographical
profiles of prominent individuals, but a timeline of famous individuals and
their accomplishments from the 1890s to the 2000s, the lifespan of Who’s Who in

In November 2002, Marquis Who’s Who launches its first web interface, in which

1995 — WHO’S WHO IN AMERICA’S GOLDEN YEAR

During a star-studded reception in Washington, Marquis Who’s Who celebrates its
50th anniversary with the Golden 50th edition of Who’s Who in America. Among the
luminaries in attendance are the first American in space, astronaut Alan
Shepard, Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, and American diplomat and

1991 — REED INTERNATIONAL PLC PURCHASES MARQUIS WHO’S WHO FROM MACMILLAN INC.
(NOW MAXWELL-MACMILLAN)

Reed International PLC (now RELX Group plc) Purchases Marquis Who’s Who from
MacMillan Inc. (now Maxwell-MacMillan) In 1992, Marquis Who’s Who is relocated
from its Chicago location to New Providence, New Jersey, and consolidated among
Reed’s other directory companies.
