ALSHAYA ORGANISES BLOOD DRIVE TO SUPPORT WORLD BLOOD DONOR DAY

Colleagues from Alshaya Group, the leading international retailer in the Middle
East, were pleased to build awareness and donate blood to the Kuwait Central
Blood Bank to support World Blood Donor Day. Organised by Alshaya’s local Sport
and Social Committee, employees from the Group participated in the campaign
which was held at the Kuwait Central Blood Bank in Jabriya, on 2 June 2022 and 9
June 2022. This year, the World Blood Donor Day slogan “Donating blood is an act
of solidarity. Join the effort and save lives” aimed to draw attention to the
roles that voluntary blood donations play in saving lives and enhancing
solidarity within communities. Seneca Cottom, Alshaya Group’s Head of
Sustainability and Head of the Alshaya Sport and Social Committee said: “Blood
is precious because every minute of every day, someone somewhere needs blood.
Our colleagues have all been hugely supportive of this initiative, and we are
very proud of their efforts in donating blood and encouraging more people to do
the same.” Alshaya Group was grateful for the support of medical and
professional staff of the Blood Bank, who helped ensure that the blood donation
sessions ran smoothly and efficiently. Thanks to the volunteers, the Central
Blood Bank collected units of blood that will be used for a variety of critical
purposes, including trauma and burn treatment and the treatment of cancer,
sickle cell, and other chronic diseases. Kuwait’s Central Blood Bank is open

TALENTED CHEFS FROM ALSHAYA RESTAURANTS WIN BIG AT HORECA 2022

Talented chefs from Alshaya restaurants played a prominent role as they
demonstrated their culinary expertise at this year's Hotel, Restaurant and
Catering Awards (HORECA) - Kuwait's leading food and beverage competition. 14
awards were won by a team of 24 chefs who joined hundreds of fellow hospitality
professionals in showcasing their talents in a range of live competitions
covering the hospitality, catering, and food industry sectors. Alshaya chefs
from Asha's, Amiti Noura and Alshaya's culinary team competed and won three
gold, four silver, and six bronze as well as the best hygiene in various
categories including Asian cuisine, Kuwaiti traditional dish, pasta, mystery
basket, and burger making competitions. The chefs cooked up award-winning dishes
that have not just won the hearts of customers, but also the hearts of judges at
HORECA. "Congratulations to all our chefs who have performed so well this year.
In iconic competitions such as Horeca, we seek to ensure displaying the best
form of talent and hard work in what we do. We believe in our chefs' culinary
skills, and we are very proud of this outstanding achievement, these awards only
prove we have been doing it right." said Frank Bordini, Head of Culinary at
Alshaya Group. Speaking about his success, Chef Ram Bahadur Sunar, Alshaya
Culinary Team said, "Being given the opportunity by Alshaya Group to participate
in HORECA keeps me motivated and enthusiastic and further helps me develop my
career and culinary journey. I always enjoy participating in HORECA - it pushes
me to the next level creatively - hopefully inspiring others to follow the
same." Participants from Kuwait and other countries took part in this year's
exhibition, competing in 27 categories that were judged by experts and heads of
chef unions from a number of European, Arab and Asian countries.

Alshaya's new eGift cards make gift-giving simpler and faster than ever. As
customers increasingly go digital when they shop, Alshaya Group, one of the
world's leading international franchise operators, has launched a seamless and
convenient online gifting experience, perfect for treating family and friends
whatever the occasion. eGift cards work exactly like a physical gift card but
are purchased online through participating eCommerce sites. Customers can shop
for branded eGift cards to the value of their choice, valid in the country of
issue, with a choice of card designs including birthdays and anniversaries. The
cards can be gifted by SMS or emailed to the lucky recipient who can spend the
value in full or spread its use across multiple purchases. They can also use the
eGift Card as a digital wallet that they can top up anytime they want. Available
in a choice of denominations and valid for a year from the date of issue, eGift
cards can be used online and in-store by using the card's QR code at the till
point for redemption. Cards can be linked to the customer's online account for
quick and easy shopping. Branded eGift cards for Bath & Body Works and
Victoria's Secret are available today in Kuwait, KSA and the UAE, with further
brands going live shortly including American Eagle, Debenhams, COS, Boots, Foot
Locker, H&M, Mothercare, Muji, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids and West Elm.
Customers can access their preferred brand site directly or visit the Customer
Zone on Alshaya.com to discover availability. eGift cards are the latest product
emerging from Alshaya's Digital Hub which is driving ongoing digital
transformation in line with changing consumer shopping habits. Complementing its
portfolio of thousands of stores, cafes, restaurants and leisure destinations,

and apps and a growing range of new digital solutions including new payment
tools and new loyalty programmes. This latest launch of eGift cards reflects
