We need you. Wales is set to be the first country in the UK to license the release of gamebirds, prompting concern about the future of biodiversity and the impact excessive regulation could have on the rural economy. A 12-week consultation, launched by Natural Resources Wales (NRW) on behalf of the Welsh Government, proposes an outright ban on all gamebird releasing anywhere in Wales and then proposes a system of licensing for the release of pheasants and red-legged partridge. The future of game shooting would become dependent on the goodwill of politicians and NRW as the licensing authority. An anti-shooting Welsh Government would have the power to shut down game shooting in Wales at any time. This could have a devastating negative impact on biodiversity and the livelihoods of those living in the Welsh countryside. It is of the utmost importance that anybody involved in game shooting, not only in Wales but in England, Scotland or Northern Ireland, responds to this consultation. Please take a few moments to complete this very short e-lobby, which will be sent to NRW directly, in response to the consultation. For those living in Wales, an additional email will be sent to your elected members in the Senedd. Please don’t leave it to others to stand up for shooting and our way of life on your behalf. Help us by taking action now! Protect the future of shooting Enter your Postcode: Include your postcode with spacing format : SW1W 0AU Search Postcode Built with
