YOUR VISIT

PARKING INSTRUCTIONS

Patients may be dropped off or picked up at the main entrance of the hospital or
as directed on the pre-visit information from your doctor’s office.

Parking at IU Health White Memorial Hospital is free, with parking lots and
entrances conveniently located to help patients and visitors get to their
destination quickly.

The IU Health team members at the Welcome Desk are happy to help you and answer
any questions. They also have wheelchairs if you need them.

VISITOR INFORMATION

Our healthcare team understands that having family and friends around is
important to the healing process. Your family is welcome anytime, but we do ask
guests to follow the guidelines below.

WHEN CAN GUESTS VISIT?

Hours are different for each unit, so please speak with your nurse or a guest
relations representative for specific visiting hours on a unit. Please note that
these may change based on a patient’s condition or scheduled tests. There may be
special guidelines for coming or staying after 9 pm.

CAN CHILDREN COME?

In general, it is a good idea to check with a guest relations team member before
bringing a child visitor. Children younger than age 14 must be accompanied by an
adult, other than the patient, at all times. Some units may require health
screens or have other limitations on children visiting.

IF SOMEONE IS SICK, CAN THEY VISIT?

For your protection, people should not visit if they are sick, especially if
they have a sore throat, cold or fever.

IS SMOKING ALLOWED?

All IU Health facilities are smoke-free. For the safety of everyone, smoking is
not allowed in any IU Health building or on the grounds.

WHAT IS THE IU HEALTH ALCOHOL AND DRUG POLICY?

All IU Health facilities are alcohol and drug-free.

WHAT IS THE IU HEALTH FIREARM POLICY?

It is the policy of Indiana University Health that no one, other than IU Health
Security Officers or on-duty Law Enforcement Officers, carry or have in their
possession a firearm or weapon while in a IU Health facility. Law enforcement
officers should check in with IU Health Security if they plan to carry on
premises.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE

Listening to our patients and their families helps us understand their
experiences at IU Health White Memorial Hospital so we can serve them even
better. We encourage patients and their families to take a moment to provide
feedback and suggestions for how we could improve our service.
