CREDIT SCORE

A credit score is a numerical expression based on a level analysis of a person's
credit files, to represent the creditworthiness of the person. A credit score is
primarily based on a credit report information typically sourced from credit
bureaus.

Lenders, such as banks and credit card companies, use credit scores to evaluate
the potential risk posed by lending money to consumers and to mitigate losses
due to bad debt. Lenders use credit scores to determine who qualifies for a
loan, at what interest rate, and what credit limits. Lenders also use credit
scores to determine which customers are likely to bring in the most revenue. The
use of credit or identity scoring prior to authorizing access or granting credit
is an implementation of a trusted system.

Credit scoring is not limited to banks. Other organizations, such as mobile
phone companies, insurance companies, landlords, and government departments
employ the same techniques. Credit scoring also has much overlap with data
mining, which uses many similar techniques. These techniques combine thousands
of factors but are similar or identical.

 * THE BIG PROBLEM WITH CREDIT SCORES

Credit scores, which represent how likely a person is to pay his or her
bills, affects almost every aspect of an American's financial life. One key
benefit built into the credit scoring system is its nondiscriminatory
practice of using just numbers to determine a person's creditworthiness.
"Credit scoring when it was first developed was an advancement," said Chi Chi
Wu, staff attorney at the National Consumer Law Center. "It is better than
having some banker sit across from you and judge you and read the information
in your credit report, because they bring a lot of their subjective analysis
and their own life experience into the analysis. And if their life is
different than your life, that analysis can be flawed." But despite the good
intentions of credit report companies, many experts...

For most of us, our credit scores determine everything about bout our lives.
They determine whether we get that new car or not, whether we get the house,
how much we may of interest on the house, whether we can get loans when we

conversely, a bad one can ruin it. So how are these life-defining financial

Credit scores and credit reports may seem complicated but quite frankly,
understanding them is pretty simple if you go about it in a logical manner. At
the end of the day, understanding what a credit score is or what a credit report
is all boils down to seeing things from the perspective of those who use them
(for example lenders). Let's try to do just that! Please like, comment and

THE BIG PROBLEM WITH CREDIT SCORES

Credit scores, which represent how likely a person is to pay his or her bills,
affects almost every aspect of an American's financial life. One key benefit
built into the credit scoring system is its nondiscriminatory practice of using
just numbers to determine a person's creditworthiness. "Credit scoring when it
was first developed was an advancement," said Chi Chi Wu, staff attorney at the
National Consumer Law Center. "It is better than having some banker sit across
from you and judge you and read the information in your credit report, because
they bring a lot of their subjective analysis and their own life experience into
the analysis. And if their life is different than your life, that analysis can
be flawed." But despite the good intentions of credit report companies, many
experts argue that the current system is still discriminatory. A survey of 5,000
U.S. adults found that more than half of Black Americans reported having a low
or no credit score, compared to 41% for Hispanics, 37% for whites and 18% for
Asian Americans. Having a low or no credit score can often bring severe
financial consequences. Forty-two percent of Americans said their credit scores
prevented them from accessing financial products like credit cards or loans.
Sally Taylor, vice president and general manager at FICO, added, "It's important
to note that credit scores didn't create some of the social economic
disparities. They simply reflect the social economic disparities that are out
there. The conversation should focus on addressing the root cause of these
differences." Watch the video to find out more about how credit scores can help
— and hurt — consumers. » Subscribe to CNBC: https://cnb.cx/SubscribeCNBC »

For most of us, our credit scores determine everything about bout our lives.
They determine whether we get that new car or not, whether we get the house, how
much we may of interest on the house, whether we can get loans when we hit a
rough patch. Having a good credit score can change your life, and conversely, a
bad one can ruin it. So how are these life-defining financial scores calculated?

Checks ********************* Taking the time to check your free credit report is
an important part of securing yourself against identity theft. You need to make
sure that the information on the report matches who you are and that there
aren't any bank accounts, credit cards or loans being taken out in your name
which aren't actually yours. Thankfully, the law allows for you to receive one
annual credit report for free from each credit bureau: Trans Union, Experian and
Exquifax. This means that you could check your credit once every four months,
which is something that I recommend that you do. And if you've already had your
identity stolen in the past or feel like you're at a high risk for that to
happen, it's a good idea to consider using a credit monitoring service that will
let you know the moment any type of account is opened in your name. There are
many service that do this, but I recommend Life Lock as a good option that I
personally use: 🔹 Get up to 25% off using this link here:

Step-by-Step Guide to Using Inquiry Remover Services Step 1: Enter Your Personal
Information Start by adding your personal details into the inquiry remover
service platform. This is the foundational step to access the various features
offered by the service. Step 2: Choose Your Credit Monitoring Service If you
already subscribe to a credit monitoring service, you can select it from a
dropdown menu. Options include: Identity IQ ,Smart Credit, Credit Mojo,
Experian, Equifax. You will need to provide your username, password, and
possibly answer security questions to proceed. Step 3: Opt for Identity IQ for
Rapid Integration For those who do not have an existing credit monitoring
service, setting up with Identity IQ is highly recommended. Here’s why: Ease of
Use: By signing up for a $1 trial for 7 days, you can test the service. After
the trial, the service costs $21.99 per month, which you can cancel anytime
during the trial period to avoid charges. Automatic Data Pull: Identity IQ
automatically pulls your credit report data into the inquiry remover system,
allowing you to easily select which inquiries to remove without manually
entering details. To get started, simply click on the provided link to sign up
for the Identity IQ trial. Step 4: Automatic Inquiry Audit Once you have entered
your Identity IQ credentials, the system will automatically begin an audit of
your credit report. This process involves: Data Retrieval: Pulling in all
relevant data from your credit report. Display of Inquiries: Showing details
such as the creditor's name, the date of the inquiry, and the associated credit
bureau. Important Considerations Before Disputing Inquiries It's crucial to be
cautious about which inquiries you choose to dispute: Legitimate Accounts: Do
not dispute inquiries that are linked to active accounts, as this could lead to
the creditor closing your account. Business vs. Personal Inquiries: Inquiries
from business credit cards or loans that do not appear on your personal credit
report are generally safe to dispute. However, inquiries related to personal
credit cards, loans, or mortgages should be handled more carefully. Step 5:
Submit Your Selections After reviewing and selecting the inquiries you wish to
dispute, simply submit your choices through the platform. Step 6: Upload
Required Documents Identification: A clear, valid driver’s license or
government-issued photo ID. Social Security Card: A copy of your social security
card. Proof of Address: Recent utility bill, insurance statement, or bank
statement from the last two months. Ensure that the address matches the one on
your ID. The system emphasizes the importance of matching addresses on your ID
and utility bill to enhance the credibility of your disputes. Step 7: Final
Confirmation Before finalizing your inquiry removal requests, you will be
prompted to confirm that none of the disputed inquiries are attached to live
accounts. This is a crucial step to avoid any potential issues with existing
creditors. Agreement: You will need to agree to the terms and conditions,
confirming that all information provided is accurate and that the inquiries you
are disputing are not linked to any active accounts. Additional Tips for Using
Inquiry Removers When using inquiry remover services, keep these points in mind:
Avoid Disputing Inquiries on Open Accounts: Particularly with personal credit
cards, as disputing these can lead to the creditor closing your account.
Business Credit Inquiries: These are generally safe to dispute as they are not
visible on your personal credit report. Denied Applications: If your application
was denied, it makes sense to dispute the inquiry since it serves no benefit and
only affects your credit score negatively.

Credit scores and credit reports may seem complicated but quite frankly,
understanding them is pretty simple if you go about it in a logical manner.
At the end of the day, understanding what a credit score is or what a credit

THE BIG PROBLEM WITH CREDIT SCORES

Credit scores, which represent how likely a person is to pay his or her
bills, affects almost every aspect of an American's financial life. One key
benefit built into the credit scoring system is its nondiscriminatory
practice of using just numbers to determine a person's creditworthiness.
"Credit scoring when it was first developed was an advancement," said Chi Chi
Wu, staff attorney at the National Consumer Law Center. "It is better than
having some banker sit across from you and judge you and read the information
in your credit report, because they bring a lot of their subjective analysis
and their own life experience into the analysis. And if their life is
different than your life, that analysis can be flawed." But despite the good
intentions of credit report companies, many experts argue that the current
system is still discriminatory. A survey of 5,000 U.S. adults found that more
than half of Black Americans reported having a low or no credit score,
compared to 41% for Hispanics, 37% for whites and 18% for Asian Americans.
Having a low or no credit score can often bring severe financial
consequences. Forty-two percent of Americans said their credit scores
prevented them from accessing financial products like credit cards or loans.
Sally Taylor, vice president and general manager at FICO, added, "It's
important to note that credit scores didn't create some of the social
economic disparities. They simply reflect the social economic disparities
that are out there. The conversation should focus on addressing the root
cause of these differences." Watch the video to find out more about how
credit scores can help — and hurt — consumers. » Subscribe to

********************* Taking the time to check your free credit report is an
important part of securing yourself against identity theft. You need to make
sure that the information on the report matches who you are and that there
aren't any bank accounts, credit cards or loans being taken out in your name
which aren't actually yours. Thankfully, the law allows for you to receive
one annual credit report for free from each credit bureau: Trans Union,
Experian and Exquifax. This means that you could check your credit once every
four months, which is something that I recommend that you do. And if you've
already had your identity stolen in the past or feel like you're at a high
risk for that to happen, it's a good idea to consider using a credit
monitoring service that will let you know the moment any type of account is
opened in your name. There are many service that do this, but I recommend
Life Lock as a good option that I personally use: 🔹 Get up to 25% off using

Integration For those who do not have an existing credit monitoring service,
setting up with Identity IQ is highly recommended. Here’s why: Ease of Use:
By signing up for a $1 trial for 7 days, you can test the service. After the

during the trial period to avoid charges. Automatic Data Pull: Identity IQ
automatically pulls your credit report data into the inquiry remover system,
allowing you to easily select which inquiries to remove without manually
entering details. To get started, simply click on the provided link to sign
up for the Identity IQ trial. Step 4: Automatic Inquiry Audit Once you have
entered your Identity IQ credentials, the system will automatically begin an
audit of your credit report. This process involves: Data Retrieval: Pulling
in all relevant data from your credit report. Display of Inquiries: Showing
details such as the creditor's name, the date of the inquiry, and the
associated credit bureau. Important Considerations Before Disputing Inquiries
It's crucial to be cautious about which inquiries you choose to dispute:
Legitimate Accounts: Do not dispute inquiries that are linked to active
accounts, as this could lead to the creditor closing your account. Business
vs. Personal Inquiries: Inquiries from business credit cards or loans that do
not appear on your personal credit report are generally safe to dispute.
However, inquiries related to personal credit cards, loans, or mortgages
should be handled more carefully. Step 5: Submit Your Selections After
reviewing and selecting the inquiries you wish to dispute, simply submit your
choices through the platform. Step 6: Upload Required Documents
Identification: A clear, valid driver’s license or government-issued photo
ID. Social Security Card: A copy of your social security card. Proof of
Address: Recent utility bill, insurance statement, or bank statement from the
last two months. Ensure that the address matches the one on your ID. The
system emphasizes the importance of matching addresses on your ID and utility
bill to enhance the credibility of your disputes. Step 7: Final Confirmation
Before finalizing your inquiry removal requests, you will be prompted to
confirm that none of the disputed inquiries are attached to live accounts.
This is a crucial step to avoid any potential issues with existing creditors.
Agreement: You will need to agree to the terms and conditions, confirming
that all information provided is accurate and that the inquiries you are
disputing are not linked to any active accounts. Additional Tips for Using
Inquiry Removers When using inquiry remover services, keep these points in
mind: Avoid Disputing Inquiries on Open Accounts: Particularly with personal
credit cards, as disputing these can lead to the creditor closing your
account. Business Credit Inquiries: These are generally safe to dispute as
they are not visible on your personal credit report. Denied Applications: If
your application was denied, it makes sense to dispute the inquiry since it
serves no benefit and only affects your credit score negatively.

Credit scores and credit reports may seem complicated but quite frankly,
understanding them is pretty simple if you go about it in a logical

Credit scores, which represent how likely a person is to pay his or her
bills, affects almost every aspect of an American's financial life. One
key benefit built into the credit scoring system is its
nondiscriminatory practice of using just numbers to determine a
person's creditworthiness. "Credit scoring when it was first developed
was an advancement," said Chi Chi Wu, staff attorney at the National
Consumer Law Center. "It is better than having some banker sit across from
you and judge you and read the information in your credit report, because
they bring a lot of their subjective analysis and their own life
experience into the analysis. And if their life is different than your
life, that analysis can be flawed." But despite the good intentions of
credit report companies, many experts argue that the current system is
still discriminatory. A survey of 5,000 U.S. adults found that more than
half of Black Americans reported having a low or no credit score,
compared to 41% for Hispanics, 37% for whites and 18% for Asian Americans.
Having a low or no credit score can often bring severe financial
consequences. Forty-two percent of Americans said their credit scores
prevented them from accessing financial products like credit cards or
loans. Sally Taylor, vice president and general manager at FICO, added,
"It's important to note that credit scores didn't create some of the social
economic disparities. They simply reflect the social economic
disparities that are out there. The conversation should focus on
addressing the root cause of these differences." Watch the video to find out

For most of us, our credit scores determine everything about bout our
lives. They determine whether we get that new car or not, whether we get the
house, how much we may of interest on the house, whether we can get loans when
we hit a rough patch. Having a good credit score can change your life, and
conversely, a bad one can ruin it. So how are these life-defining financial
scores calculated? All images courtesy of Creative Commons or protected

in your name which aren't actually yours. Thankfully, the law allows for
you to receive one annual credit report for free from each credit bureau:
Trans Union, Experian and Exquifax. This means that you could check your
credit once every four months, which is something that I recommend that you
do. And if you've already had your identity stolen in the past or feel like
you're at a high risk for that to happen, it's a good idea to consider using
a credit monitoring service that will let you know the moment any type of

Services Step 1: Enter Your Personal Information Start by adding your
personal details into the inquiry remover service platform. This is the
foundational step to access the various features offered by the
service. Step 2: Choose Your Credit Monitoring Service If you already
subscribe to a credit monitoring service, you can select it from a
dropdown menu. Options include: Identity IQ ,Smart Credit, Credit Mojo,
Experian, Equifax. You will need to provide your username, password, and
possibly answer security questions to proceed. Step 3: Opt for
Identity IQ for Rapid Integration For those who do not have an existing
credit monitoring service, setting up with Identity IQ is highly
recommended. Here’s why: Ease of Use: By signing up for a $1 trial for 7
days, you can test the service. After the trial, the service costs $21.99 per
month, which you can cancel anytime during the trial period to avoid
charges. Automatic Data Pull: Identity IQ automatically pulls your
credit report data into the inquiry remover system, allowing you to
easily select which inquiries to remove without manually entering
details. To get started, simply click on the provided link to sign up for
the Identity IQ trial. Step 4: Automatic Inquiry Audit Once you have
entered your Identity IQ credentials, the system will automatically
begin an audit of your credit report. This process involves: Data
Retrieval: Pulling in all relevant data from your credit report. Display
of Inquiries: Showing details such as the creditor's name, the date of the
inquiry, and the associated credit bureau. Important Considerations
Before Disputing Inquiries It's crucial to be cautious about which
inquiries you choose to dispute: Legitimate Accounts: Do not dispute
inquiries that are linked to active accounts, as this could lead to the
creditor closing your account. Business vs. Personal Inquiries:
Inquiries from business credit cards or loans that do not appear on your
personal credit report are generally safe to dispute. However,
inquiries related to personal credit cards, loans, or mortgages should be
handled more carefully. Step 5: Submit Your Selections After reviewing
and selecting the inquiries you wish to dispute, simply submit your
choices through the platform. Step 6: Upload Required Documents
Identification: A clear, valid driver’s license or government-issued
photo ID. Social Security Card: A copy of your social security card.
Proof of Address: Recent utility bill, insurance statement, or bank
statement from the last two months. Ensure that the address matches the one
on your ID. The system emphasizes the importance of matching addresses
on your ID and utility bill to enhance the credibility of your disputes.
Step 7: Final Confirmation Before finalizing your inquiry removal
requests, you will be prompted to confirm that none of the disputed
inquiries are attached to live accounts. This is a crucial step to avoid any
potential issues with existing creditors. Agreement: You will need to
agree to the terms and conditions, confirming that all information
provided is accurate and that the inquiries you are disputing are not
linked to any active accounts. Additional Tips for Using Inquiry Removers
When using inquiry remover services, keep these points in mind: Avoid
Disputing Inquiries on Open Accounts: Particularly with personal
credit cards, as disputing these can lead to the creditor closing your
account. Business Credit Inquiries: These are generally safe to dispute
as they are not visible on your personal credit report. Denied
Applications: If your application was denied, it makes sense to dispute
the inquiry since it serves no benefit and only affects your credit score
negatively.
