CONCEPT OF THE EXHIBITION "STREET SMART COLLECTIVE - INSIDE OUT"

Street art in recent decades has perhaps most seriously re-examined the
traditional frameworks of museum and gallery practices, erasing the boundaries
between the work and the observer, abolishing any elitism at the same time,
addressing without exception anyone who shares with the work of street art what
constitutes its essence - the urban space. The role of the street artist is also
changing, from a rioter to an underground hero, he becomes a legitimate and full
part of the art scene that he changes and transforms. Seven very active street
artists whose works on the street are well known to the public are taking part
in the Inside-out Street Smart collective project.



With completely different sensibilities and poetics, these authors were brought
together with the idea that in the atypical conditions of an unconventional
exhibition space that is both public and gallery, they present works that are
not what the audience is used to - works on paper. Placed in a common frame of
50×70 cm format, which represents a kind of challenge for the authors compared
to the wall surfaces they are used to, the works provide the audience with an
insight into that part of the creativity of street artists that they rarely have
the opportunity to see. Thus, the myth of the street artist who creates
spontaneously and without a plan is destroyed, and the works of visual notes,
sketches and digital drawings intended for small, personal spaces provide an
insight into the less public part of the creativity of these exceptionally
high-quality, unusual, hardworking and dedicated artists. Conceived in this way,
this exhibition-experiment is both an opportunity to see in one place the rarely
shown works of some of the most active and interesting street artists in Serbia,
but also an opportunity to change, through the unusual concept of the gallery
itself and the demands placed on artists, the positions we are used to - the
street, which each of these authors skilfully uses as an artistic resource, now
becomes the scenery for ready-made, artistically rounded, personal visual notes.



Biografija Autori čiji radovi čine predloženu izložbu okupljeni su ovom prilikom
na inicijativu Street Smart kolektiva, udruženja čiji je rad fokusiran na
promociju i produkciju umetnika i projekata iz oblasti ulične umetnosti, a koje
uglavno i čine ulični umetnici. Artez – (Andrej Žikić, Beograd, 1988. ) Ulični
umetnik, arhitekta i osnivač Street Smart kolektiva. Autor više desetina murala
u Evropi, Južnoj Americi i Aziji. Učesnik mnogobrojnih festivala ulične
umetnosti i kolektivnih izložbi širom sveta. Samostalno izlagao više puta.
Pokretač projekta SCENA, prvog u zemlji ciklusa izložbi usmerenih na promociju
rada uličnih umetnika. Nikola Mihajlović (Beograd, 1986) – ulični umetnik, po
obrazovanju arhitekta. Autor velikog broja murala i intervencija u javnom
prostoru u zemlji i regionu. Samostalno i kolektivno izlagao više puta. Učesnik
više desetina festivala ulične umetnosti. Jana ( Andrijana Danilović, Užice /
Beograd, 1989) ulična umetnica, po obrazovanju zidni slikar, doktorantkinja na
FPU. Autorka nekoliko desetina murala i prostornih intervencija u zemlji i
regionu. Samostalno izlagala više puta, učesnica velikog broja kolektivnih
izložbi i festivala ulične umetnosti.
Wuper (Dejan Ivanović, Inđija 1993), ulični umetnik, student grafičkog dizajna i
ilustrator. Učesnik velikog broja kolektivnih izložbi i festivala ulične
umetnosti u zemlji i regionu. Sles (Stefan Stojanović, Vranje, 1992 ), ulični
umetnik, po obrazovanju grafički dizajner. Svoje radove izlagao na jednoj
samostalnoj i više kolektivnih izložbi. Osim uličnom umetnošću i dizajnom, bavi
se i animacijom. Učesnik velikog broja festivala ulične umetnosti u zemlji i
regionu. Zez Lunatic (Igor Zlatić, Zlatibor/Beograd, 1989), ulični umetnik, po
obrazovanju arhitekta/dizajner enterijera. Kolektivno izlagao više puta, učesnik
velikog broja festivala ulične umetnosti. Osim ulične umetnosti i unutrašnje
arhitekture, bavi se i ilustracijom. Das Drogen (Beograd) Das Drogen kolektiv
čine četvorica autora, grafički dizajneri Jang – Stefan Dulović, Finno – Ivan
Milošević, Bjorn – Frey Ahlgren, Turbo – Igor Đipalo . Od 2014 kolektiv zajedno
radi kako na ulici, tako i na polju ilustracije i dizajna. Radovi Das Drogen,
