FIND FILES TAKING UP DISK SPACE

SpaceMonger is a disk analysis utility tool that helps users get a clear picture
of their computer’s storage space. With multiple viewing options, the
application lets you easily find files and folders taking up the maximum space
on your hard disk. Designed for Windows, SpaceMonger download features treemaps,
statistics, and pie charts, as well as an option to connect with cloud storage.
The program comes with a free trial period that doesn’t require any
registration.





WHAT IS SPACEMONGER?

Freeing up hard drives can be quite tedious. You have to manually go through the
properties of all folders and sub-folders, open files to check whether or not
they’re important, and delete whatever isn’t required. Not only is the process a
bit time-consuming, but it can also have you deleting files that won’t make a
significant difference. This is where SpaceMonger can help. It can show you a
graphic representation of what’s taking up the most space.



Once downloaded, the complex software scans your device and creates a treemap of
all folders, sub-folders, and files. It helps you understand what’s occupying
space, so you can effectively get rid of large files without worrying about
deleting something important. You can change the way you see everything, and
also open and delete different files directly from the interface.


COMES WITH A CLEAN INTERFACE

SpaceMonger has an intuitive interface that’s easy to maneuver. The window that
appears on launch consists of a central panel that shows folder statistics and
the left panel shows a list of available drives. You can use the options
available on the top to open any particular file or folder that you wish to
scan. Detailed information on all scans appeared on the bottom of the central
panel.

The top band also includes the settings using which you can personalize the
program. This means that you can change the language and font of the program,
select different safety measures, change animation and file format colors, and
edit the layout of the program. All of these options will come in hand once you
get familiar with SpaceMonger.


HOW DO YOU USE SPACEMONGER?

Using SpaceMonger is quite simple. You can either scan all drives on the system
or select one from the left panel. When you click on a drive, the program starts
scanning and displays all results in the central panel. Here you can see several
colorful rectangles, one inside the other. You can zoom in on any window, click
and open any file, or organize the layout by used and unused disk space.

In case you wish to eliminate large files, you can click on the ‘Log Map’
button, which displays all files in almost the same size except for ones taking
up the most space. You can click on any folder or file, and get more information
from the bottom panel. When you click on a folder, it opens the actual folder
containing all the files. If you wish to delete folders without opening them,
you just need to right-click and press delete.

You can also hover over the central panel to see a note containing the amount of
space the file is occupying. If you toggle to the Statistics window, you’ll be
able to see detailed information on the total, free, and unscannable disk space.
This window also shows users the total number of files available in the drive,
the average drive size, as well as the file type - image, audio, video,
programs, and more.


REVIEW STATISTICS AND PIE CHARTS

The Windows version of SpaceMonger lets users explore pie charts and treemaps to
get a complete picture of disk space and usage. You can use the application to
find out the name, full path, modification date, type, and size of each file.
These files can be copied, moved, and deleted without you having to leave the
interface. You can also file any file using the highly functional search bar.


CONNECT WITH ONLINE DRIVES

SpaceMonger 3.0 doesn’t just let you scan hard disks, USBs, and DVDs, but it
also works on cloud storage. After you launch the program, you can use the left
panel to connect to your Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive account. Once
connected, you’ll be able to see the graphic representation of your online disk
space, so you can easily clear out items that are no longer needed. This can
prove to be a better option than buying extra cloud space.


HIGHLIGHT AND DELETE FILES

When you download the SpaceMonger app, you get the option to highlight content
and programs occupying unnecessary disk space. To make it all easier, the app
lets you change delete settings so you’re comfortable playing around disk
drives, including the C drive. You can change the program settings to get a
confirmation when you press delete or send files to the recycle bin
automatically or opt for the hard delete option.


DOESN’T IMPACT SYSTEM PERFORMANCE

The disk cleaner program hardly takes up any space on the computer, nor does it
impact system performance. Instead, it provides users with a range of
comprehensive customization options as well as disk analysis features. You can
download the program for free and activate it with a link that’s sent to your
email ID. The trial lasts a month and includes all features.


IS SPACEMONGER FREE?

You can use SpaceMonger for free during the trial period. However, once that
ends, you’ll have to purchase the license key to continue using the app. If you

"C:\Windows" folder and all its sub-folders and files are taking up 90% of your
"C:" drive.

   A useful but highly unreliable program. .
   It's a nice program when it works. But it crashes constantly, and performs
   erratically. Sometimes it refuses to accurately show a drive's contents, for
   no apparent reason. It will scan for minutes, then just show me one 7.5 GB
   folder instead of the entire drive.On top of this, it bugs you to purchase
   the full program every time you run it or do anything in it. I might be more
   inclined to give them money if the program was at all reliable.
   Pros:
   Being able to visualize my drive's contents
   Cons:
   Spacemonger desperately needs refinement and improvement in its stability and
   interface. More
