SHEENA MENEZES, PHD

CEO & Co-founder
Simple HealthKit

Dr. Sheena Menezes is the CEO and co-founder of Simple HealthKit. Simple
HealthKit was founded on a vision to deliver health equity through an
innovative, all-access digital health platform powered by at-home diagnostics
that are accurate, affordable, and accessible to people from all walks of life.
Before Simple HealthKit, Dr. Menezes led a multi-disciplinary team to obtain an
FDA clearance for an in-home diagnostic. Her commitment to improving the health
and well-being of every healthcare consumer, regardless of gender, socioeconomic
status, sexual orientation, or geographic location, led her to found Simple
HealthKit. Today, Dr. Menezes and her team are tackling global health challenges
such as STDs, the ongoing tripledemic (COVID-19, Flu A/B & RSV), and managing
chronic conditions such as diabetes, kidney health, colon cancer screening and
more. What makes Simple HealthKit unique is the ability to deliver not just the
diagnostic but a platform that supports and streamlines access to follow-up care
and provides population health data analytics dashboards. 

By education, Dr. Menezes is a computer scientist and obtained her Ph.D. in
Biochemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara. While pursuing
her Ph.D., she discovered a novel tRNA methylation enzyme using computational
methods and biochemical validation.


SAQUIB RAHIM, MD, MBA

Medical Director of Innovation - Chronic Conditions and Digital Health
Simple HealthKit

Dr. Saquib Rahim is a board-certified Internal Medicine doctor and practicing
physician. Dr. Rahim has held several leadership positions, including Chief
Medical Officer & Vice President, Clinical Strategy at Aetna Digital.  He joined
the Simple HealthKit team to advance health equity utilizing the Simple
HealthKit's All-access digital health platform, which consists of a full stack
digital platform encompassing diagnostics, follow up care, and data analytics to
close gaps in care.

Dr. Rahim has deep healthcare expertise at the intersection of business,
clinical, and tech and has held multiple executive roles spanning the provider,
health system, payer, startup, and investor realms. In all of these roles, Dr.
Rahim's passion is to create and scale novel solutions that enhance care
delivery, reduce friction across the healthcare ecosystem, and optimize health
outcomes.  Dr. Rahim matriculated from the Northwestern University Feinberg
School of Medicine and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.


ANITA PATEL, PHARMD, MS

Vice President, Pharmacy Services Development
Walgreens

Dr. Anita Patel leads the development of Walgreens clinical pharmacy services.
She is responsible for the advancement of existing clinical programs such as
immunizations and medication adherence across 9K community sites; expansion into
new therapeutic areas, including health screenings and care gap closures for
diabetes and hypertension; and innovation for clinical service delivery to
improve access to quality care across communities.  Prior to joining Walgreens,
Dr. Patel served at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for 18
years in multiple leadership positions. Anita graduated with a Doctorate in
Pharmacy from the University of the Sciences, Philadelphia College of Pharmacy
and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Rutgers Post-Doctoral
Pharmaceutical Industry Fellowship. She holds a master’s degree in Biosecurity
and Disaster Preparedness from Saint Louis University School of Public Health.


ROCKY SAMUEL, MD, MBA, FACEP

Chief Clinical Officer
MedArrive

Dr. Rocky Samuel drives value-based care into the home as the Chief Clinical
Officer at MedArrive. He spearheads a transformative care model which brings
humanity to healthcare with in-home paramedics and EMTs working together with
telehealth social workers and providers. The MedArrive interdisciplinary team
delivers cost-effective, high-quality care that is centered on the patient.
Rocky is a board-certified emergency physician. He graduated with honors from
the combined Harvard Medical and Business School program and completed his
residency at Northwestern.


CHRISTY VALENTINE THEARD, MD, MBA

President
Healthy Blue

A New Orleans native, Christy Valentine Theard, MD, MBA is the President and CEO
of Healthy Blue. She received her bachelor’s degree from Xavier University of
Louisiana, her medical degree from the Louisiana State University School of
Medicine in New Orleans and completed her residency at Tulane University
specializing in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine. Dr. Valentine Theard received
a Merit Scholarship and completed her MBA from the University of Chicago-Booth
School of Business. She holds numerous positions and appointments including
serving as a New Orleans East Hospital Board Commissioner and serving on the
Louisiana State Board of Medical Examiners (LSBME).

She is a Past President of the LSBME. Dr. Valentine Theard previously served as
Louisiana Statewide Medical Director for Reproductive Health and Medical
Consultant for the Louisiana Bureau of Community Preparedness. Dr. Valentine
Theard is the immediate Past President of the New Orleans Medical Association.
She recently was elected to Board of Directors of the Federation of State
Medical Boards and was reappointed to the Federation of State Medical Board’s
Ethics and Professionalism Committee. Dr. Valentine Theard passionately serves
her community and diligently works to connect individuals and families to
quality and equitable health care.
