WHO ARE WE?

The University of Manitoba Space Applications and Technology Society (UMSATS) is
one of University of Manitoba’s largest interdisciplinary student groups. Our
team consists of passionate, driven, and hardworking students ranging from 1st
year of university to graduate students, from many faculties including
Engineering, Physics, Biology, Business, Education and Kinesiology. The society
was established and began its activities in October of 2010.




> Cubesat 
> 
> Since 2010, UMSATS has developed 4 iterations of our TSAT nano satellite. We
> are proud of our TSAT 4 which one 1st place at the Canadian Satellite Design
> Challenge in 2018. We are currently working on TSAT 6 which builds upon the
> previous iteration, being our most ambitious project to date. 

 




> Rocketry
> 
> Founded in 2018, UMSATS newest endeavor aims to expose students to the
> explosive field that is rocketry. Successively launching our inaugural rocket,
> Winnie, at the 2019 Spaceport America Cup, we are now underway in our
> preparations on our new design for the Spaceport America Cup and Launch Canada
> competitions.
