ABOUT US ABOUT CPI HOLDINGS PUBLIC LTD The Cyprus Pipes Industry Limited was originally established on the 24th of August 1976 as a state-owned entity to support the country’s economy, regional and rural development. In mid 1977 The International Finance Corporation (IFC), an affiliate of The World Bank, joined Cypriot and Swiss investors in participating in this undertaking. According to the documents recently released by IFC and The World Bank the IFC investment of up to $733,000 was made in The Cyprus Pipes Industries Limited, and consisted of $500,000 in loan, $136,000 in equity, and $97,000 in standby commitments to help support a local offering of the company’s stock. In the early 1980’s the company played a major role as a supplier into most of the island irrigation and water supply projects, and according to documents revealed from the Water Development department in the Cyprus Ministry of Agriculture and natural recourses, was the backbone of the Paphos Irrigation Project. The company is one of the oldest companies who’s shares are still continuously being traded on the Cyprus Stock Exchange. Following the suspension from June 1, 1997 of all its commercial activities, the company in 1998 had no other activity except only the collection of funds from divestment of its stocks and the rental income from the letting of part of its premises, which finally were sold out. The company was renamed CPI Enterprise Development Ltd on February 15, 2001. In an Extraordinary General Meeting held on June 1, 2005, a special resolution was approved to change the company name from “CPI Enterprise Development Ltd” to “CPI Holdings Public Ltd“. Within the period between 2019 to 2022 several different shareholders changed. In 2021 a new young dynamic and ambitious management team took over the company and is now making a strong business turn around with a sole aim of returning the company to it’s former glory day’s with prosperity and strength.
