COVERAGE OPTIONS


FOR YOUR BELONGINGS


As a renter, you have a lot of stuff. Do you know what is typically covered by
your landlord’s policy and what isn’t? We do, and we can help you protect your
stuff by identifying your risks and helping you decide how to handle them, one
simple step at a time.

You have several coverage choices for your personal belongings, so it’s
important to figure out how much your stuff is worth to make sure you’ve got
enough. You can choose from two coverage levels:

BASIC COVERAGE

This is our most popular renters insurance coverage that covers your stuff for
specific risks. Specific coverages will be listed in your policy for things
like:

 * Fire or lightning
 * Theft or vandalism
 * Wind or hail
 * Freezing of plumbing
 * Spoilage of refrigerated products

PREMIER COVERAGE

Our best coverage. In addition to what the basic policy includes, you’ll also
have protection for accidents like:

 * Power surge damage to appliances
 * Damage from spilled paint
 * Breakage of antiques1


CLAIM SETTLEMENT OPTIONS

You can also choose from the following claim settlement options:

Actual cash value covers your belongings at the cost to repair or replace the
damaged property, minus depreciation.

Replacement cost covers the cost to repair or replace your belongings. So if you
have a five-year-old TV you need to replace because of a covered loss, we’ll pay
you for a comparable model today, minus your deductible.


LIABILITY AND MEDICAL


LIABILITY COVERAGE

Liability coverage is automatically included with your renters insurance and
helps protect you if someone is injured on your property, you’re responsible for
damages to someone else’s property, or you’re sued for those injuries or damages
and have legal defense costs. You can:

 * Choose liability limits up to $1 million
 * Add optional liability coverages (for in-home businesses, watercraft, etc.)
   for an additional cost
 * Add a personal umbrella liability insurance policy if you need more than $1
   million in coverage.2


MEDICAL PAYMENTS COVERAGE

Medical Payments coverage can provide coverage for others’ medical costs if
they’re injured on your property. You can choose up to $25,000 in coverage.


MORE COVERAGE OPTIONS

You may need special coverage that our base policy doesn’t have. We offer extra
choices at an added cost to customize your renters insurance.


COVERAGE FOR HIGH VALUE ITEMS

Some of your things are only insured up to specific limits. Some examples:

 * Jewelry, watches and furs: $2500
 * Silverware, goldware and pewterware: $2500
 * Money and other currency: $200
 * Firearms: $2500
 * Watercraft (like boats, jet skis and trailers): $1500
 * Recreational motor vehicles (like ATVs and 4-wheelers): $500

If you have high value items you have questions about, talk to your
representative about insuring them separately. It’s usually very affordable and
you’ll have peace of mind knowing you’re protected.


COVERAGE FOR ADDITIONAL RISKS

The following risks aren’t included with the base policy coverage, but you can
buy extra coverage for:

 * Identity theft
 * Earthquake damage
 * Sump pump failure and/or back-up of sewer or drain


FLOOD INSURANCE

Renters insurance doesn’t cover flood damage, and flood insurance is generally
only available through the National Flood Insurance Program. We can help get you
get coverage through the federal program if you qualify.3


MONEY-SAVING DISCOUNTS

Our discounts can help you balance the cost of coverage with the amount of
protection you need.


MULTI-POLICY DISCOUNT

You could qualify for the Multi-Policy Discount if you have a renters policy and
one of these policies or accounts with us:

 * Auto insurance 
 * Life insurance
 * Disability income insurance
 * A COUNTRY Trust Bank account or Annuity product with a balance over $1,000


WELCOME DISCOUNT


If you purchase a new renters insurance policy, you will receive a Welcome
Discount and continue to receive that renters insurance discount until the
policy is renewed after three years (36 months). 


LOYALTY DISCOUNT

The Loyalty Discount will apply to renters insurance policies that have been in
place for three years or more. This renters insurance discount starts
automatically on the first renewal after three years (36 months). 


GOOD PAYER DISCOUNT

If you pay your bills on time, you could qualify for our Good Payer Discount. To
get this renters insurance discount, you must go three years (36 months) without
missing a payment that results in a lapse in your renters insurance coverage.  


CLAIM FREE DISCOUNT

If you’re fortunate and maintain your property well, you could qualify for our
Claim Free Discount. If you don’t have certain renters insurance claims for five
years in a row, you'll qualify for this discount.
