CIVICA AFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO SUPPORTING SERVICEPEOPLE AND VETERANS

8th February 2024

CIVICA SIGNS ARMED FORCES COVENANT, AFFIRMING COMMITMENT TO SERVICEPEOPLE AND
VETERANS

At a ceremony in our Southbank offices earlier today, our Chief People Officer,
Jessica Collingwood-Terry formally signed the Armed Forces Covenant on behalf of
Civica, in the presence of Major General John Collyer. Civica first committed to
the Covenant in 2019 and has since been awarded the prestigious Silver Award,
given to employers that demonstrate proactive support for service people and
veterans.

First published in 2011, the Armed Forces Covenant outlines the moral obligation
which exists between the nation, the Government and the Armed Forces. It is
intended to ensure that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and
their families, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities,
economy and society they serve with their lives.

As a global GovTech provider, Civica supports a wide range of vital public
services, including the armed forces. We have a have a proud history of
employing veterans and serving reservists and supporting the armed forces on the
sporting field as well as the battlefield. We also work with the Royal Air Force
and the Royal Navy museums on their STEM outreach programs and supporting their
work to get more people to understand the rich history of those branches of the
UK Armed Forces.

Jessica Collingwood-Terry,

Civica Chief People Officer,

As a company which supports the delivery of vital public services for more than
100 million people around the world, serving citizens is our driving purpose at
Civica.

We’re therefore proud to be a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant which is
testament to our commitment to support Civica people who currently serve, or
have already given service, to the armed forces.

We’re delighted to offer our people who serve in uniform five paid days’ leave
per year, including support for reservists during periods of mobilisation and
demobilisation. As we continuously look for new talent, we actively seek to
attract veterans and people who’ve recently left the forces. For colleagues who
are joining us from the forces, we are rolling out a specific policy to support
Veterans and Service Leaver employees to aid their transition into the civilian
workforce.

Major General John Collyer,

The British Army’s Director Information

I am delighted that Civica has re-signed the Armed Forces Covenant, this
significant support to Defence and has been recognised with a Silver award
within the Employer Recognition Scheme.  This is a fabulous achievement and on
behalf of past, current and future members of Defence, a sincere voice of
thanks.

This really matters; and is highly valued by all who serve and those who have
served – as Regulars and Reserves.  It really is appreciated.  And in achieving
this award, we recognise and value the commitment made by Civica in both word
and deed.

It’s also a privilege to be invited here today to join in this ceremony, not
least because of the excellent partnerships that Civica has right across
Defence.

So again, thank you, for your support to Defence and its personnel.
