COLLECTIVE AGREEMENT CBSA

February 4, 2022 EllenS

This agreement is the result of great solidarity and perseverance on the part of
our FB members. We can all be proud of what we have accomplished together. The
FB negotiating team unanimously recommends the ratification of the provisional
agreement. The total remuneration of all members of the FB group corresponds to
a minimum compound increase of 8.08% over the four-year term of the collective
agreement. All salary increases apply retroactively. A new annual meal time of
$5,000 will be paid to all CBSA uniformed employees. This means that the
agreement, including the allowance, provides for a general pensionable increase
over four years: Collective Agreement: Canada Border Services Agency – FB Group

(Esquimalt) (West) (FGDTLC(W)) Collective Agreement Expiry Date: 30. January
2023 Dispute Resolution Mechanism: Arbitration The union representing Canadian
customs officials announced that its members were overwhelmingly in favour of
the preliminary agreement with the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA). Over
the next few weeks, the union will meet with Treasury Board and CBSA
representatives to sign the new collective agreement, the new agreement is a
four-year agreement from 2018 to 2022 with an overall wage increase of more than
8%.

A full explanation of the new agreement and a copy of the new language will be
available in the coming weeks once it has been fully translated. The PSAC-UIC
negotiating team unanimously recommends ratification of the new agreement. If
ratified, it will improve the working conditions of FB members in several ways.
Union members held a one-day strike in early August that hit Canada`s airports,
land borders, commercial ports and postal facilities and quickly reached an
interim agreement with the federal government. After more than three years
without a contract and unprecedented engagement of FB members across Canada, the
PSAC-CIU bargaining team reached a preliminary agreement with Treasury Board and
the CBSA late friday, August 6, after a marathon 36-hour continuous bargaining
session. There are no concessions in the new provisional agreement. The
improvements achieved are the result of the hard work and commitment of FB`s
bargaining team and members during this round of negotiations. Bargaining group:
UNIFOR Date of expiry of the collective agreement: 30 June 2022 Dispute
settlement mechanism: arbitration.

. Memorandum of Understanding between Treasury Board and PSAC to establish a
national joint committee to address corporate culture issues at the CBSA. Added
to Schedule V of the Act, which allows for mobility between headquarters and 26
other separate agencies, including the Canada Revenue Agency, the Canadian Food
Inspection Agency, Parks Canada and the National Research Council, without any
obligation to reimburse allowances. This change gives more flexibility to
parents who wish to change positions in the federal public service. A simplified
complaints procedure with a reduction in the complaint process from four to
three levels, reducing the time it takes to hear complaints. The information on
this website refers to public sector employees for whom The Treasury Board is
the employer. If both parents work in the public service and have shared the
full 40 weeks of parental leave, one of the parents may receive an additional
week. Section 43 – Leave with Pay for Family Responsibilities Under the
Employment Insurance Act – Parental Allowance for Extended Leave Extension of
leave to the care of a person who represents the employee instead of a parent,
regardless of the blood relationship between that person and the employee.

. This occupational group of 7,000 Employees of the Canada Border Services
Agency is responsible for planning, developing, delivering or managing the
inspection and control of people and goods entering Canada. Up to 75 hours of
annual leave for workers exposed to domestic violence. Reception of the National
Day of Truth and Reconciliation in accordance with the legal amendment. There is
a six-month delay in the implementation of the new certificates, which are
offset by a lump sum payment of the same value. For parents covered by
Employment Insurance and the PIQ, the introduction of extended parental leave
without pay of up to 86 weeks, without affecting the five-year limit provided
for in section 41. If both adoptive parents work in the public service and have
