CELEBRATING 20 SEASONS OF DREAMLEAGUE!

June 11th marks the start of the 20th Season of DreamLeague, now more than 9
years on from the very first event in March 2014, with a lot of memories made,
and a lot more to come.

Starting right after the 3rd Tour of the Dota Pro Circuit's Division 1 ends, the
best teams from around the world will be flown into Europe to compete online for
a $1,000,000 prize pool, and a chance to qualify directly to the groupstage of
Riyadh Masters at Gamers8.

OUR TEAMS

To select the teams we invite, we've invested in renovating the previous ESL
World Rankings system for Dota to the new and improved EPT Ranking System, and
we'll be using this for future events to ensure we're bringing only the highest
quality competition to Dota fans.

FORMAT

We're back for Season 20! The same compact format with tonnes of games happening
over a 2 week period, brought to you by our high-quality production team and
with the amazing sounds of the DreamLeague Pandas!

Dota has some amazing teams from all around the world, and this season will be
the best chance yet for other regions to take down the Western Europe
powerhouses.


Here's how it breaks down:


THE TOURNAMENT

GROUPSTAGE 1

 * Two round-robin groups featuring eight teams each
 * Matches are best-of-two
 * 1st-4th place teams in each group advance to Group Stage 2
 * 5th-8th are eliminated from the tournament

GROUPSTAGE 2

 * One round-robin group featuring eight teams total
 * Matches are best-of-three
 * 1st and 2nd place move to Playoff Upper Bracket
 * 3rd and 4th move to Playoff Lower Bracket
 * 5th-8th are eliminated from the tournament

PLAYOFFS

 * Four team double elimination bracket
 * Two teams start upper bracket, two teams lower
 * Matches are best-of-three, except Grand Finals, which is best-of-five


THE PRIZE POOL

 * Total - $1,000,000
 * 1st - $300,000 — Qualified to Riyadh Masters
 * 2nd - $175,000 — Qualified to Riyadh Masters
 * 3rd - $120,000
 * 4th - $85,000

Why are Execration not at DreamLeague Season 20?

Due to visa issues, Execration are unable to join us for DreamLeague Season 20.

Why were BetBoom invited as the replacement team for Execration and not another
SEA team?

With Execrations visa issues the short time frame won't allow us to invite a
replacement team from SEA due to the visa application process.

In selecting between the two regions from which we could field a last minute
team, Eastern Europe was ahead of Western Europe for the next slot, and Betboom
were the next eligible team from EEU to be invited.

What happens to DreamLeague Season 20's Riyadh Masters Invites if Gaimin
Gladiators place in the top 2?

In the event that Gaimin Gladiators place in the top 2, while having already
qualified from their victory in Season 19, the teams invited from average
DreamLeague placements would increase from 5 to 6, and there would only
be one team that directly qualifies from Season 20 to Riyadh Masters.

WEU had 5 slots initially allocated for Season 19, so how do they now have 6
slots in Season 20?

In the results from the major for example, discounting the best team from each
region, the only region with multiple teams in the Top 8 is WEU.

The closest region to getting the slot over WEU having a 4th additional was EEU,
but WEU still came out ahead for the final slot. Currently, every other region
isn't close.

As non-top teams from other regions haven't consistently won games of dota
against quality opposition in other regions, our system won't allocate invite
slots for these regions.

Why has EFG decided to create the ESL Pro Tour?

With the ESL Pro Tour for Dota 2 we want to complement Valve’s DPC ecosystem
while supporting the Dota 2 scene and helping it grow.

What are the streaming guidelines for DreamLeagues?

You can find our Community Streaming Guidelines here.

How do invites work? Are there qualifiers?

Although it's something we would have liked to include, there will be no
qualifiers for events in the first EPT Season.

Will there be a live audience for these events?

There are no plans currently to have live audiences at DreamLeague events, as
they will be entirely online events with teams flown in to various countries in
Europe to compete.

FAQ

What are the festival hours?

We open the doors Thursday 25th of November at 10:00.

We close Sunday 28th of November at 10:00.

What measures are you taking to ensure a safe event as it relates to Covid?

All visitors at the age of 16 or above are required to be fully vaccinated and
show proof of vaccination through the Covid-19 certificate when entering the
event. If you cannot get vaccinated because of medical reasons, you are required
to show a doctor's note followed by a Covid antigen test at arrival.

What happens to my ticket if the event is postponed?

You will receive a full refund within 60 days of the original event dates.

Where do I buy tickets and how do I pick them up?

You can get your tickets here.

All tickets can be picked up at the registration desks at Elmia once the
festival opens.

Can I check in if I arrive later in the day?

Yes, ticket registration desks will be open until 8PM daily.

Is there an age restriction?

No age limit, but children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by a parent
or legal guardian. 

All visitors below the age of 16 are required to take a mandatory Covid antigen
test at arrival, with a negative test result you are allowed to enter the event.

When do I pick my seat if I've purchased a LAN ticket?

The seatmap is already released and it's available here

Where can I find info on where to park, stay, or what to pack?
