WHY DO A WORKING HOLIDAY IN CANADA?

Canada has become a go-to destination for working holidaymakers who want
year-round adventures, liveable cities and decent salaries. Aside from the fact
that the national dish is fries covered in cheese and gravy (enough said),
Canada offers the perfect work-life balance. Surf in the morning before work,
hit the slopes at night after work, and spend your weekends exploring mountains,
beaches and lakes.

Now here’s the best bit. You can do all of that on a working holiday visa until
you’re 35 –because Canada is just cool like that. And on our Ultimate Canada
option, we hook you up with a 4-6 month ski season or summer resort job before

STUFF TO KNOW BEFORE YOU HIT THE SNOW (OR TRAILS)

WHEN TO APPLY

Seriously in demand and with limited visas available, timing is everything with
Canada working holiday visas. When you apply, your name goes into a pool (not
the fun hotel kind, the nail-biting ‘I really want to move to Canada’ kind), and
if you’re successful, you’ll be invited to officially apply for your visa. The
pool usually opens at the end of the year or the beginning of the next year.
We’d recommend applying for our Work Canada program in January for the best
chance of securing a visa. 

WHO CAN APPLY

If you’re from the USA, Australia, New Zealand, Germany or Ireland and are aged
18-35, you can apply for a working holiday (IEC) visa that allows you to work in
Canada for up to 23 months (depending on your nationality). If you’re from the
UK, you must be aged 18-30. However, UK passport holders aged 31-35 can apply
for a Recognised Organisation (RO) Letter through BUNAC. There’s also Young
Professionals visas. Confused? Call us for a chat, we speak fluent visa.

The working holiday mothership. All the Essential inclusions, plus a
pre-arranged 4-6 month summer or winter seasonal job. Our employers include some

All the job support, visa application help and work essentials you need to get

90% of our Essential and Ultimate customers are solo travellers. You’ll have
access to our offices in Toronto and Vancouver where our teams run regular
social events to help you settle in and meet other travellers. And on the
Ultimate Canada, you’ll have a pre-arranged ski or summer resort job with other
BUNACers so you’ll live and work with a ready-made group of mates.

I can't say enough good things about my NZ bunac experience.! They made the
whole preparation to go so straightforward and simple. The details of moving to
a new country can feel so overwhelming, but they tell you what you need to do as
you go and really make it way more manageable. The orientation days were helpful
for settling in, and getting a direction for your trip. It was a nice balance
between practical and fun. Sharyn is such a kind, warm person. Its a real
comfort to have someone that you know you can call if anything happens. One of
the greatest parts is that you have a built in community as you move around. I'm
travelling on my own and that has been so valuable! If you're going anyway,
especially on your own, going with bunac is so worth the investment! Its really
taken a lot of the stress off of a really fun experience.
