Skip to content PABLO BOUCHER MACKAY June 23, 2012 – November 21, 2024 With hearts both heavy and full of love, we remember Pablo, our beloved Havanese. IN LOVING MEMORY OF PABLO BOUCHER MACKAY Born into a royal lineage of award-winning Havanese show dogs, Pablo carried himself with a regal charm – but beneath the pedigree was a down-to-earth spirit who lived for life’s simple pleasures. A true connoisseur of treats, Pablo demanded only the finest fresh or dried meat, never biscuits. He brought his trademark enthusiasm to everything he did, whether perfecting his tricks (he had a repertoire that could rival a circus act) or claiming his spot under the table, eagerly awaiting mealtime crumbs. Pablo’s quirks made him unforgettable. He never cared for fetch, unless treats were involved, of course, and he had an uncanny ability to attract more attention on walks than even the cutest of kids. His joyful sneezes when excited, his love for his plush grey duck toy, and his signature howl when left alone will forever echo in our hearts. Pablo had a, let’s say, unique relationship with poo. His signature move on walks was peeing on other dogs’ poo, a bold statement of canine dominance that was uniquely his. But the antics didn’t stop there as he once helped himself to a serving out of the potty from one of the kids, and in a karmic twist, another of the kids mistakenly ate Pablo’s poo. Gross? Yes. Memorable? Absolutely. Classic Pablo. Despite a dramatic hit-and-run accident that sent him flying, Pablo’s spirit was indomitable, and he carried his puppy-like energy through to his final days. Whether it was his determined digging on the bed, his attention-grabbing begging, or his selective affection for people (some kids, some elders, but never doorbell ringers), Pablo’s personality shone bright. Pablo’s final moments were peaceful, surrounded by loved ones. While his absence leaves a profound void, we will always remember the boundless joy, laughter, and love he brought to our lives. Rest easy, sweet Pablo. You were one of a kind, and you’ll be forever missed. With love, Your Family PABLO'S MANY NAMES Pablo went by many names, each reflecting his larger-than-life personality.
