OVERVIEW

The IEEE is the world’s largest professional association advancing innovation

UPCOMING EVENTS!

IEEE Region 1 and Region 2 will be merging into one region! 

IEEE Region 1 is the home to the IEEE organizational units in the north-eastern
part of the USA and is comprised of 22 Sections including: Binghamton,
Berkshire, Boston, Buffalo, Connecticut, Green Mountain, Ithaca, Long Island,
Maine, Mid-Hudson, Mohawk Valley, New Hampshire, New Jersey Coast, New York,
North Jersey, Princeton/Central Jersey, Providence, Rochester, Schenectady,
Springfield, Syracuse, and Worcester County.

IEEE Region 2 is composed of four geographical Areas in the south-eastern part
of the USA and is comprised of 20 Sections including: Central
Pennsylvania, Erie, Johnstown, Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Susquehanna,
Philadelphia, Southern New Jersey, Lehigh Valley, Delaware Bay,
Baltimore, Northern Virginia, Washington D.C.,
Akron, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton, Lima, and Youngstown.


VISION STATEMENT

Through the leadership of its volunteers, and in conformance with the IEEE and
MGA visions, the Region 1 BoG will make regional IEEE activities relevant to
it’s members and the community and enhance the profession to result in holding
IEEE membership in the highest esteem.


MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Region 1 Board of Governors is to fulfill on a local level,
IEEE’s educational, scientific, and professional goals for the benefit of the
members and the community by maintaining, enhancing and supporting IEEE
programs. The Board of Governors will work to enhance the relationship between
IEEE organizational units (Sections, Societies, Chapters and other units).


FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES

Region 1 supports a wide variety of activities by supporting local Sectional
activities. Sections should look here to obtain regional support!
