JOB DESCRIPTION Our Customer is a software vendor of cloud-based ERP that practices in human capital management and financial management applications. They offer products and services that allow customers to oversee time tracking, procurement, employee data, financial accounting, and expense management at anytime and anywhere. They continue to offer enterprise-level software solutions for financial management, human resources, and planning. Their proven methodology, expertise, community, tools, and education help ensure your organization’s success. We are seeking a Software Development Engineer on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. This role is onsite in Pleasanton, CA. What You'll Do: * Collaborate with engineers and QA to design, build and test backend APIs Must-haves: * 8+ years of software development experience, preferred in an enterprise software product. * Technical leadership in Java, algorithms, data structures, complex enterprise solutions * Proven grasp of design patterns, coding best practices and be able to write unit-testable code * BS and/or master’s in computer science, Engineering or related field preferred * Strong foundation in computer science fundamentals (e.g. algorithms, data structures, etc.) * Provide mentoring to junior team members on engineering best practices * Excellent communication, organizational skills, and ability to balance multiple priorities * Experience with web service API development a big plus * Experience with Agile development process Perks are available through our 3rd Party Employer of Record (Available upon completion of waiting period for eligible engagements) Health Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life (including spouse & child), 401k, STD/LTD, AD&D, and Commuter Benefits program.
