FIELD KITCHEN

We believe Coldharbour is one of the best places in East Devon to treat your
tastebuds. Our Field Kitchen serves only the highest quality food and drink with
a real commitment to local sourcing. From our own farm fresh lamb and pork, to
delicious West Country cheeses, fish, eggs and vegetables, you’re sure to love
every mouthful. Visit us for breakfast, lunch, evening tapas, Sunday roast, or a
cuppa and cake. Enjoy local ales, ciders and artisan spirits galore. Our cosy
indoor dining space offers 40 covers and a toasty woodburner, whilst warmer days
are perfect for relaxing on our decking area and appreciating the amazing views
across the Otter Valley.

Coldharbour Farm Shop is where you’ll find an Aladdin’s cave of quality foodie
treats, our homemade preserves, juices and frozen ready meals, along with a
tempting array of unusual homewares, gifts and cards, garden plants, and one of
the largest selections of locally produced artisan spirits available in the
region. We are constantly looking out for new and exciting products to add to
the shop to make browsing a treat for our customers. Whether you’re looking for
something special for a birthday or anniversary, Valentine’s Day, Easter or
Christmas, come and be inspired.

OUR HEART IS IN THE LAND


OUR STORY

Coldharbour Farm Shop and Field Kitchen was launched in 2016 by business
partners, Andrea Broadhurst and Beth Ashfield.

Andrea’s family has farmed the land here since the 1930s when her grandfather
Harry Williams started his dairy farm. Andrea continues the farming traditions
with her family. Our lamb, mutton, and pork comes from animals raised at
Coldharbour Farm with the highest welfare standards and we’re proud to support
other local farmers and suppliers who follow the same ethos.

Beth is our culinary queen, using her passion for cooking and appreciation of
really good, locally produced food to create the most tempting dishes. For Beth,
provenance is everything and her desire to exceed customer expectations is
evident in every menu, from breakfast and lunch to tapas evenings and Sunday
roasts.

From humble beginnings, the business now combines the Field Kitchen, purpose
built in 2022, with the original Farm Shop, which sits on part of the land that
used to be the farm’s dairy parlour. You can stroll between the two locations to
enjoy all that Coldharbour offers.
