IS PREVIOUS TREKKING EXPERIENCE REALLY NECESSARY?

As Tiji Festival Trek is a moderate level trek, previous trekking experience is
not really necessary but again previous hiking or trekking experience is always
a plus. Everyday we walk about 5 to 6 hours with some break so your fitness
level for Tiji Festival Trek should be such that your comfortable walking all
day.

IS TIJI FESTIVAL TREK SUITABLE FOR KIDS?

Tiji festival trek is suitable for kids but Nepal law requires that children
under age 18 are accompanied by a parent or guardian while trekking. And if you
are planning for a family trek, We generally suggest you to book private trip
and schedule a few extra days.

WHAT IS THE BEST FITNESS PROGRAM TO PREPARE FOR THIS TREK?

You don't really need to go for special training or preparation for Tiji
Festival Trek. If you can do some cardio related workouts like running and
distance walking, it prepares you for this trek. And if you can take the time to
go on a few weekend hikes around your area, that is plus for you.

There is no age limit for Tiji Festival Trek, as long as you are healthy,

WHAT KIND OF ACCOMMODATION IS THERE ON THE TREK?

There are 2 options available and they are Tea house and camping. If you book
camping option, we organize your entire trek accommodation in provide you tent
accommodation during the trek. And if you book tea house trek, we organize your
accommodation in a local tea houses during the trek. Tea house option is
probably the most popular style of trekking in Upper Mustang and it simply
involves going from teahouse to teahouse.

WHAT KIND OF MEALS ARE OFFERED ON THE TREK?

you can choose a meal from the menus at the tea houses. Typical meals available
in most of the tea houses includes omelets, toast, boiled eggs, noodle soup,
fried rice, macaroni, momo, vegetarian curries, pizza or chow mein. Meat on the
mountain is not hygienic and we suggest trekkers stick with vegetarian options.

We trekked From Jomsom to Lo Manthang for the Tiji festival with my family (My
wife and 3 sons). Words can't describe how amazing this trip was!!

Raj planned this trip based on what we were looking for and the times we had
available, he took care of all of our flights and booked our tea houses along
the route. We didn't have a worry the entire trip and all we had to do was enjoy
this adventure. Raj was very accommodating with changing plans and canceled
flights and made everything seem easy. During the trip Raj and our amazing guide
Hum, made suggestions and recommendations to enhance the trip.
