ABOUT WILLOW MAE

“Seas or rivers have no power to extinguish love.”  Love can grate painfully,
but when love blossoms it’s ecstatic. With her rough romantic folk/pop, Willow
Mae introduces us to the mystery of love, the hot breath of passion mingling
with the cold air of love that has cooled, an affair which ends in an electrical
storm. Her music, lyrics and performance are as colourful, rich, fierce,
unpredictable and unquenchable as love itself. Willow Mae’s multidisciplinary
show, a cross-over between music theatre and a concert, is an intense adventure
with lyrical music, (English) spoken word and live visuals. She has played a
range of venues and theatres, such as Grounds Rotterdam and Theater Walhalla.
Willow Mae’s debut-album Song of Songs will be launched in the spring of 2019.
Her release tour will feature festivals, among others Goois Jazz Festival, and
clubs, such as Bird Rotterdam.
