LANSWEEPER OFFICE 365 SCANNING

“Many organizations have been put off from having to buy new machines that meet
these conditions, while others are simply happy with the current existence of
Windows 10 which continues to be supported until 2025.”Īccording to the
Lansweeper survey, 1.44 percent of PCs are running Windows 11, up from 0.52
percent in January 2022. “Although the rate of adoption is increasing bit by
bit, it’s obvious that Windows 11 upgrades aren’t going as fast as Microsoft had
hoped, especially within the business environment,” Lansweeper Chief Strategy
Officer Roel Decneut said. (Note that this data includes all versions of Windows
Server as well.)

A new Lansweeper survey of over 10 million Windows devices shows that 1.44
percent of them are running Windows 11, fewer than the number running Windows XP
or 8.

CHROME CANARY PORTABLE

So, I went to the settings of Chrome Canary to set the default there, but was
presented with an interesting error: However, since I already had Chrome
installed (and it was set as the default), I wasn’t prompted. Normally, when you
launch a new install of a browser on a Mac, it asks you if you want to set it as
the Default Browser. Since I already had Chrome (not Chrome Canary) installed
and it was the default browser, every time clicked a link (e.g., in email), the
“older” version of Chrome (not the Canary version) would open.

I had been using the beta channel (and dev channels) for my “regular” version of
Chrome on my Mac, but I wanted to test out the 64-bit version of the browser as
it was supposed to be “faster.” However, I ran into an issue. It has the latest
features and is targeted towards early adopters, developers and the like.

If you want what Google calls “the bleeding edge of the web” type of browser,
you can download and install Google Chrome Canary for Mac (or Windows). Google
recently released a 64-bit version of its browser, Chrome Canary.
