The Waggery philosophy is very simple - give dogs and their owners more reasons

Waggery is Ballarat’s premier Dog Daycare Centre conveniently located within
minutes to the CBD. We have created an innovative secure indoor/outdoor facility
focusing on the comfort and needs of the dogs in our care including climate
controlled indoor play areas. Dog daycare, as the name suggests can be likened
to daycare for children. It provides a cage free environment in which your dog
is free to play and interact with other dogs. Your best friend will return home
tired and happy after a full day of fun, mental & physical activities along with
socialising and building friendships with other dogs. The Waggery will soon
become a familiar place for your dog to visit, and it won’t take them long to
learn what day of the week it is, and where they will be going! We do more than
just mind your dog, The Waggery will be your dogs’ home away from home while
you’re at work, on a day trip, have errands to run, renovating the house or are
just too time poor to give your furkid the stimulation and exercise they need.
And just like at home, we have some basic rules & boundaries that we encourage
dogs and their owners to follow. We reinforce these rules and boundaries by
rewarding good behaviour with praise, cuddles and yummy treats and for those who
need a reminder are asked to slow down, sit, relax and catch their breath before
being able to re-join the fun and games. A day at The Waggery also offers
helpful benefits dogs who are perhaps bored, have separation anxiety, or need
extra socialisation. You will have complete piece of mind knowing that your dog
will be safe, cared for and supervised at all times and most importantly having
fun in your absence. In keeping our numbers low, staff are able to provide the
human contact and re-assurance needed to enhance your dogs’ experience at The
Waggery. (Cuddles always included) We know dogs. We take the time to get to know
all of our dogs, their play styles and how they behave and interact in the
daycare environment. We are able read and understand dog behaviours and can
identify any possible unwanted behaviours and intervene if necessary, before it
develops. We ensure that dogs are grouped according to several factors, we
understand senior or sensitive/quiet dogs have different needs to young puppies
those with high energy levels. Dogs are free engage whatever activity they feel
like, nap on the couch, lay by the heaters, or run around playing tag or chase
balls and with their friends. Just some of the benefits: Fully supervised

In 2019 through our research, we realized that there was no one marketing
program to promote our regions wonderful wineries, artists, fresh producers and
craftsman. Further research commenced and discussions with the well know
#OtwayHarvesttrail that has been in operation for over 10 years with 150
farm-gates across 3 shires. The founding committee was so generous with their
time and idea’s and we are eternally grateful. An initial grant from Pacific
Hydro from their Crowlands Wind Farm started the ball rolling. We believe that
the Farm Gate project will benefit the entire shire community and it is needed
to help our community survive and thrive at these challenging COVID times and
for many years to come. The Farmgate Trail is another great Beaufort Progress
Association Inc. Iniative.

Once upon a time, there were two sisters who grew up dreaming of fairies,
magical lands and mythical creatures. One day they grew up and lost their way,
and all the magical creatures disappeared from their lives. As they grew older
and had their own children they remembered the joy of childhood, of making mud
pies and floral elixirs, fairy gardens and magical potions. They remembered how
it felt to be a child, the frustrations and the emotions and the pure joy that
magic brought with it through difficult times. They decided to try to bring the
magic back, to themselves and to their children. So they worked away, way into
the night while their children slept in their beds. They mixed ingredients and
colours and scents. They wrote recipes and spells, rhymes and magical
affirmations. They tested and re-wrote and tested some more. They wanted the
spells to have meaning and purpose. They researched calming strategies for kids,
mindfulness, visualisation, intention setting and affirmations, play based
learning and nature play. They consulted experts and friends…

and lifestyle requirements. On the 1st floor, a Wellness Centre comprising of a
variety of complementary health qualified professionals. The entire centre’s
team and clients will become a supportive environment for all individuals no
matter at what stage of their wellness journey. The aim is to assist all
client’s to be successful in reaching and maintaining their goals by providing
these services in an easily accessible location.

THE BUNCH OF GRAPES BALLARAT

The great Aussie hotel is an icon of our culture. It’s said that they are the
soul of a town, where the beer is cold, the food is honest and yarns are spun.
That can certainly be said for our town, which at one point in time had over 400
hotels. The Bunch of Grapes is steeped in Ballarat history. Our exterior proudly
states 1906 as the establishment date but records show the existence of a hotel
on this site dating back to 1868 when a J. Currell was the publican. It has been
a popular watering hole for all of its existence due to its great location but,
in fact, it was probably at its most popular during World War II as it became
the place to be for American marines who were stationed in Ballarat. The hotel
is has always been closely tied with Ballarat and we’re excited to infuse our
menu with our regions fantastic produce. We’re proud to be part of Ballarat and
we reflect that in the historic building we find ourselves in and the honest,
regionally sourced produce we turn into our meals.

I’m Tara Moore, and Studio Moore is my baby. For the past 15 years I’ve worked
as a photographer across fashion, interiors, portraiture and e-store. In that
time, covering off such a big range of work, I like to think I’ve developed into
quite a dynamic creative photographer. What sets my work apart is my connection
to the people I work with and for. I’m a happy and friendly person, with a good
sense of fun and a genuine desire to meet people at their level; to give people
the space to be themselves. Perhaps that’s why in recent times, portraits and
events have really become my stock-in-trade. My studio is based in Ballarat,
