ABOUT US

Donatantonio was founded over a century ago, in 1902, by Luigi Donatantonio, who
came to this country from Naples. Pining for the gourmet foods of his home
country, and encouraged by a home-sick Italian community around him, Luigi
opened a delicatessen in Clerkenwell to sell only the very best ingredients from
his homeland.

Donatantonio has since grown into a specialist distributor of the finest Italian
foods. Awarded the Royal Warrant in 2001, our dedication to sourcing great
tasting products has brought enduring partnerships with some of the UK’s most
up-market institutions (notably Buckingham Palace), hotels, restaurants,
caterers and retailers.

Our mission is to share the magic of great tasting Italian food. The new Vulcano
range serves to deliver against this great tradition.




OUR PRODUCTS

Vulcano offers everyday affordability on a classic range of Italian foods.

BASIL PESTO

Made with 30% Italian basil, cheese and cashew nuts, Vulcano Basil Pesto has the
hallmark characteristics of quality pesto - dark green in colour, the fresh
smell of the basil fields, and a dominant basil flavour with hints of cheese
coming through. Arguably, Basil Pesto is Italy’s “food of choice”!


TOMATO PESTO

Made with 18% sun-dried tomatoes, cashew nuts, basil, and Pecorino Romano
cheese, Vulcano Tomato Pesto has an intense tomato flavour burst, with a visibly
grainy texture of pine nuts and basil flakes.


SUNDRIED TOMATOES

‘Halves’ of sun-dried tomatoes, suspended in an oregano infused sunflower oil.
Sweet tasting, rusty red in colour, and with a mouth-watering aroma of tomatoes.
