Important Update : Two years ITR status for TDS - Section 206CCA - Change in Tax
Guidelines - 30th June'21

As per the new provisions under Income Tax Act 1961, higher TCS (Tax Collection
at Source) will be applicable from 1st July 2021 for: Sending money abroad or
Availing foreign exchange services (including new issuance and reloading of
Forex Cards) under LRS (Liberalized Remittance Scheme)

A higher rate of TCS will apply if, Income Tax Returns is not filed for the last
two years & Aggregate TDS / TCS credit of Rs 50,000 or more in each of the two
years (Section 206AB & 206CCA).

The TCS rate that will applicable for not complying as mentioned above would be
higher of the following: a) Twice the rate specified in the relevant provision
of the Income Tax Act; or b) The rate of 5%
